Hi guys. I live in Asia and FFXIV APP does not seem to be available on my app store? I am using apple products like ipad and iphone.

Does anyone know how I can access it so I can get the extra retainer and storage? Thanks

Are you aware these things require a "subscription" to the app and are not just free things for downloading it?... also it's an additional slot for a retainer.. as in you can buy another slot, not that you get one with the subscription.

You need a subscription to get the retainer but it has basic marketboard functions for free.

I don't use it, but my understanding is that the subscription gives you an additional retainer but it was badly phrased that once you have subscribed to the app, you (or rather your character) can then hire a new retainer from the in-game retainer vocate.

I haven't heard for certain that this is the correct understanding, but it seems much more probable.

Didn't "remote" marketboard functions cost like.. a Kuponut or something like that. Whatever currency. And I think you get some for the sub but if you go over you have to buy them?

Just an aside to all this, would be neat if SE found a way to add some of the golden saucer games to the app. Like being able to play the card game, even challenge npcs you've previously met. May have some limit per day to amount of times you can get rewards, just to prevent insane botting (or.. it's mgp so who cares?), but it would be cute. Aside from the card game I feel a number of the other games could also be translated over.

ok thanks i thoought the free version already allow us to get another retainer for free and additionoal saddlebags. ill skip this then.

Funny it doesn't mention the Tomestone emote or the extra favorite teleport destination in the basic features.

Ah yeah, those are the actual main reasons to get the free app, even if you never touch it again.

The tomestone emote irks me, but teleports are good.

Tomestones are data storage devices. Maybe they are like P.A.D.D.s in Star Trek. Makes sense that we would try to read one from time to time rather than giving them all to Rowena or the Moogles. What are they doing with them anyway?
