Yeah anything to bump a wholesome thread rather than the nonsense we're seeing all over front page right now.

I'm of the mind that FF stories have sometimes got too complex for their own good so I appreciate the simpler tales like (your mileage may vary lol) III IV and XIV. There's clear good guys and clear bad guys, with just enough twists thrown in to be entertaining instead of cliche. Maybe I'm just a sucker for a good ol Saturday morning cartoon story now and then.

Nostalgia-wise? Getting my first 75 on XI felt like climbing a mountain. Took me a little over a year to reach cap since my first job was THF and therefore not as wanted as say RDM or WHM and the like, hearing that fanfare out there on Mount Zhayolm was like Christmas came early lol

For me, FFX (and FFX2) answer most of these questions. In fact I'd say with much confidence that FFX is the best game ever made. Its a timeless classic. Everything from character design and backstories, to game play and narrative. The game is literally perfect. I've played through it numerous times, and to this day no FF game has matched it (and yes I've played 7).

I've played a few other FF games, 7, 9, 13, 15, and of course 14. I enjoyed them all, however only 9 comes close to the same amount of enjoyment for me that 10 had. I will say that in terms of world building and story 14 has improved much with shadowbringers, and I'm looking forward to endwalker.
