Cannot log in with certain characters

I spoke too soon, I'm back to just staring at the now loading page. In a weird turn of events my FC member messaged me on Discord saying "Oh my god you got in!!" and sent me a screenshot of me logging into the game. Meanwhile I'm still sitting here staring at my now loading page.

Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend installing Windows and FINAL FANTASY XIV onto the same drive (preferably the C:\ drive).

No changes happened with the device. I do not have enough room on my C drive to install both, I have never played this game on the C drive and have never had issues with it. As I told someone else, if this game needs to be played on one specific drive in order to avoid bugs like this, that is a huge flaw and needs to be addressed.

As an update a second one of my characters is now unable to be logged in. I disconnected while teleporting from old gridania to bentbranch meadows and have been unable to log in since. This is ridiculous.

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

Could you try using a registry cleaner such as CC cleaner? It will run and remove files that may have been left behind by installation another activity on the PC. To so, please remove the game and then restart the PC. Run the registry cleaner and then restart the computer. Once the computer has been reset please reinstall the game again. After reinstalling the game, please restart the PC once more. Once the PC has been reset, please launch the game.

As I told someone else, if this game needs to be played on one specific drive in order to avoid bugs like this, that is a huge flaw and needs to be addressed.

People may ask you to install on a different drive because you have very limited space on both of your drives. Its nothing to do with software flaws...

I see you are running ACT and FF Logs uploader. Neither of these wares need updates, right?

Otherwise I would try repairing your installation, or removing any mods you have installed via FFXIV Tex Tools.

I will add to this thread and i can deduce that ACT is not a problem.

I did run the game with and without, crashes and other anomalies are happening regardless of what is running in the background, if that would be screen capture software or without, ACT or without. And DX9 or DX11.

A fresh copy of windows, doesn't make a difference, fresh install. Same result.

What can be said is that it's probably for crashes to happen when zoning into an area. It's seemingly not dependent on how many players are present and graphics settings have no bearing on this.

Checking cache also doesn't work.

It's not a problem on our side. But i can say that AMD/NVIDIA builds are seeming to have problems for an unknown reason. Based on various threads. Typically, this identical error is happening.
