    Cannot log in with certain characters

    Over the last couple of days I've had issues with the game crashing. Everything is up to date, I've reinstalled the game which helped for less than 24 hours and then went back to crashing. I just figured out that I can log in with some characters but not others. It's not consistent on which data centers or anything, just random ones will log in and others will be permanently stuck on the "now loading" screen after waiting in the player que to log in. I see that this is a pretty common issue but there doesn't seem to be any concrete answer on how to fix this other than "I waited and then it worked".

    going on 3 weeks with this same issue along with many others. No fix as of right now

    I was just looking through other posts as I waited for a reply and noticed that. Seems like a lot are unsubbing because of this and I'm close to doing it myself. You'd think a company would act on this quicker when people are leaving the game because of it.

    I unsubbed today as there is no reason to wait on a fix. I subbed and got a few hours of play time in before it crashes. i spent days trying to fix this and nothing worked. We have yet to get a response that SE is even working to resolve this issue. It clear to me that this is not a issue on our side. If you've seem my post you will see I've literally done everything you can think of. Back to SWTOR for me

    Still unable to log in with just this one char. As I just bought a 70 skip for one of the classes on this character to be able to raid with some friends this is extremely annoying.

    Still unable to log in, have contacted SE support on the phone and chat and both gave me the same cookie cutter response of "Just wait and you can log in eventually" this is extremely poor customer support for a gave that requires you to pay to play it.

    Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    If you have not done so already, you may want to try deleting the locally-saved data folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue. Additionally, could you try doing a clean boot? Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything

    Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
