Why Do I end up in a different dungeon from the one I sign up for?

I am a level 34 archer. I go to the dungeons tab on the duty finder and select "Brayflox's Longstop". The first time I tried this, I ended up at Tam Tara. I tried again and this time I ended up at Coperbell Mines.

Why does this happen?

Is there anyway to go to the dungeon I select?

Make sure you only have one dungeon selected at a time. It's a common mistake for players, even those who have been playing for a long time, to forget to unselect other dungeons they had already queued for. When you're queueing the duty finder queue on the right side of the screen lists the content you're queuing for. If you're queueing for more than one thing, it will say so.

Maybe you forgot to uncheck duties you did before on the same day. It surely has happened to me.

You can see which dungeons are selected on the bottom left of the duty finder. Just uncheck those you don't wanna do in the list above. ^^

Btw. you say, you are an lv 34 Archer. Make sure to complete your class quest up until lv 30 and then pick up your job quest to become a Bard. This will not only make you stronger, it will also give you access to additional abilitys. ^^

I thought I had to wait until lvl 40 to become a bard. thank you for that info. I am on my way to the archer's guild........

You won't find it a problem when you reach the end of the main scenario because you'll only get a new dungeon or trial at each patch, so it's only a temporary annoyance. Once you are at the end of the main scenario you normally just do roulettes, which don't allow anything else to be selected.

I remember you were making another character because you didn't like being a small lalafell, but that's not necessary because you can use a Fantasia to change from a lalafell into something else. You most likely got one free from beating the level 50 quest (any further fantasia you have to buy from the mog station).
