Bring WOWs allied race mechanic to XIV

No it wasn't a mistake and that has nothing to do with my comment about additional hairstyles for Viera and Hrothgar. Those were promised. Yoshi-p has also made numerous statements that the hear gear is a problem and that isn't something they will be able to provide.

This doesn't contradict my point however that the dev team is having problems dealing with providing content for the released races as illustrated with a lock of content even with new event items let alone adding new ones. They said that Viera and Hrothgar would be the last races added to FFXIV although many are pushing for them to add the missing genders.

It's like people don't even read anymore and immediately start screaming "NO HATS" when they see Viera or Hrothgar even mentioned, even though you clearly said hairstyles in your original comment...

Right? I was about to comment that they did in fact say viera would be receiving more hair. It'll be two years since here soon. With none.

I'm honestly seriously wondering why this is supposedly such an issue. Atleast for Viera the head model isn't any more unique than Au Ra heads are compared to the vanilla races and they managed to make all headgear work just fine in Heavensward. Sure, their horns seem to be simply clipping through the helmets sometimes but would people really mind if that were the case for Viera? Headgear with some clipping is still better than no headgear at all.

Pretty much. Viera/hrothgar posts are autopilot on missing hats or missing genders, seeing one on hairstyles is so rare it just autocompletes to “again.”

You’re right though, we were promised more hairstyles and they mentioned they were looking into customization options at the aesthetician without the need for a Fantasia.

I guess those went to the happy place with ultimate?

They have said that they cannot add any more races due to the time it takes to add them. More races would be cool but I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

It is on topic. If they cannot add something like hairs. How exactly can ANYONE expect them to add not one more, but SEVERAL new "allied"races? it is entirely relevant.

Allied races wouldn't bring anything to this game. We don't need them. They would be a waste of dev time.

I absolutely disagree with this. The allied race thing was a pain. The grind to unlock most of them was horribly long. That and most of them were just not that good, and some are just reskins if other races.
