Retainer venturing randomly "none in progress" even though I sent them on ventures

This has been a problem ever since I started playing Final Fantasy XIV the second week of August 2020. It is a problem across ALL my characters and happens for seemingly no reason at all.

I will assign all three of my retainers ventures and I will check back in an hour or two and find that my retainers are NOT on ventures. It does not matter if I assign them field exploration, hunting, or quick exploration; at seemingly random times, when I check my retainers later, they are not on ventures despite the fact that I assigned them ventures.

The ventures currency that I paid them to do the venture are lost when this problem happens. If I had 1000 ventures, and I tell all three of my retainers to go on quick exploration and an hour or so later I check and they are not on ventures, I STILL ONLY have 994 ventures. The venture currency is not compensated when sending my retainers on ventures "doesn't work".

As I said, this has been a problem since I first bought the game and had access to retainers and ventures. The problem is not tied to just one character, it is across all my characters

It is NOT because my retainers are undergeared or anything. On my main, my retainers have ilv 500 average and this problem happens with ilv 500 gear AND quick exploration which has no gear requirements.


Does anybody know what the problem could be?
