Something viral has to happen where SE can't ignore the problem anymore. Otherwise, we're just spitting in the wind.I'm not sure anything would even come of that considering that the one time they invited the head of the STF (AKA the people who are supposed to be keeping this in check) to a live letter Q&A, they could only offer a "We're trying, please understand and keep sending in reports" when asked the question of why nothing seems to be done about the rampant botting issues.
At this point I think only seriously negative PR from outside media platforms like Twitter is likely to get them to start taking this more seriously considering how quickly they responded to the PvP hackers after that JP player tweeted a clip of the problem.
