yup. Crafting/MB bots are a pain. I decided to drop prices for exarchic healing gear on my server to find out bots trading floors. floor seems to be at 50k for non jewelry pieces. I got one bot to follow me bellow 30k

I am finally able to sell exarchic gear but at a 30k ish price level because bots stopped following. My profit margin is extremely small at 30k so I stopped crafting altogether. Bad times to be a crafter

I'd like to see someone ask what's being done to stop the bots, the next time Yoshi is live on screen or live at an event. I want...no I NEED to see their response. I want to see them squirm under the weight of the question.

I'm not sure anything would even come of that considering that the one time they invited the head of the STF (AKA the people who are supposed to be keeping this in check) to a live letter Q&A, they could only offer a "We're trying, please understand and keep sending in reports" when asked the question of why nothing seems to be done about the rampant botting issues.

At this point I think only seriously negative PR from outside media platforms like Twitter is likely to get them to start taking this more seriously considering how quickly they responded to the PvP hackers after that JP player tweeted a clip of the problem.

From what I know, just to add to this, is botting of these types aren't as commonly seen on the JP servers. I don't know if it's because of Square caring on JP servers a little bit more, or just less try.

Regardless, all I know is it convinced me enough to send my reports in Japanese. At least then we'd know if it's the translation team vs the STF. (Unsurprisingly, it's the STF)

Something viral has to happen where SE can't ignore the problem anymore. Otherwise, we're just spitting in the wind.

a whole month last time i check which is mid 2019. yesterday i ask my friends who are active in wow to check the spot and the bot(s) is still there, the very same bots.

off topic a bit but botting in wow is weird for me at least the current botting. these bots that i tell you? they just stand in front off "elite" enemy and when it spawn they kill them. strange thing is they didnt do anything after the enemy die, they didnt loot, they didnt skin, they do nothing, and they have "red bandana" icon (in wow these mean you dont earn exp from whatever you do) so i dont know what purpose these bots do, they literally earn nothing.

on FF14 note, the "red bandana" icon from wow is actually pretty good feature. basically if the game detect you for doing suspicious activity like botting, the game will give these character a "red bandana" icon mean they will not earn exp from killing enemies

i wonder if SE can implement similar system, like the bot will get debuff that make them cant loot anything or such

Are you sure that's not the exp lock feature the game already has?

I know you get a red bandana if you party with someone who's taken that, because Blizzard didn't like the Freehold power leveling parties, as one was getting both legion benefits, and azerite benefits, and staying exp locked so they could solo the entire dungeon ezpz real fast.

i didnt know wow that deep so i only hover the icon and it more or less said "this character will not gain exp from killing any creatures, to disable this feature please contact *somethingsomethingiforgot*"

thats about it, unless i misunderstood the meaning, it seem pretty cut and clear that character did not gain any exp from whatever he do

The XIV subreddit is still in denial about it apparently. I saw people who scoffed at the current efforts being confronted more often than not.

Most of them are either botting themselves, or just like the cheaper prices and think if we get rid of the bots they won't be able to afford anything anymore. The ends justify the means to them. But, I do see a lot of players trying to make a little money for this or that and then realize they can't actually sell anything. Because the bots have either tanked the market to ridiculous levels or they undercut so quickly that a real player can't keep up.
