No EXP gain after world transfer

Transferred from Cerberus using world transfer today, on logging in I am not gaining experience points from battle. I seem to be able to gain them from FATEs, but not from unsynced battles.

What level are the mobs you are fighting that are not giving experience?

Unsynced battles you say - implying a dungeon, raid, or trial.
As far as I know those never give any EXP for mob kills when done unsynced - says so in the help text for the option in DF even.
Do you get EXP for regular mob kills in the open world, or from kills in dungeons when run synced? If you do, everything seems to be working as it should.

Sorry for not being clear - by unsynced I meant just out in the open world (currently central shroud). I have tried on MOBS from levels 1-30 but the only way I can get EXP is from fates where your level is synced down. Haven't tried a raid or dungeon yet. Switching to a crafting class, I can gain EXP from crafting though.

Simple, the mobs were way too low. At level 45, you better fight level 45+ mobs for EXP.

I hopped on an alt and unlocked Marauder, obviously Level 1. I went outside to kill Level 1 Wharf Rats to see how long I got experience for.

As expected, I stop gaining experience when the difference is 11 levels+, which is when I stop gaining aggro of them by walking past them.

I do get experience from enemies of a far higher level than myself though.

Are the enemies below you within 10 levels of your own?

Once you out level the monsters you are killing, by about 10~11 levels, you no longer get EXP per kill at all.
So, no killing 1,000,000,000 Level 1 rats to get to Character Level 80

Ah I see! I'm recently back to the game and hadn't realised this, just noticed it when I was farming for animal skins. Thanks for clearing it up!
