Can enemies PLEASE stop chasing us for miles?

Surely it's obvious how annoying it is, and how hard it makes playing? Trying to join a skirmish in Bozja, or needing to mount up/teleport, and an enemy you JUST BRUSHED by absolutely miles ago is STILL taking chunks out of you. They could just chase you for a normal distance like in Warcraft? Why has it been designed so frustratingly?

Remember when mobs chased you until you died, or leave the zone? Pepperidge Farm Remembers.

It chases for much greater distance in bozja and eureka.

In the open world I find that sometimes things reset when I'm trying to hold two enemies that are quite far apart. I would suppose doing it this way in bozja and eureka is to solve that and make the mobs more farmable.

It's going to be annoying either way. Sometimes they will chase you for longer than you want them to and other times they won't chase far enough and will reset when you don't want them to.

I’m fine with them chasing me for miles - I am actually annoyed that they still can tether and break away even in Eureka and Bozja. As someone who played the original Everquest back in the day this feature is actually nice in my opinion for farming purposes. What annoys me is that the guards near the camps in Bozja do literally nothing. In Everquest, if you ran to a town with monsters following you, they would kill it. It would be nice if the NPCs in Bozja near the teleports would do something similar, or at least if the camps would act as “safe zones” that would de-aggro enemies upon entering. My biggest problem with Bozja is that you can be running to a teleport to make it to a skirmish in a different zone but get stuck fighting a monster and end up missing the skirmish because you were in combat and could not teleport. Eureka had a similar issue but didn’t bother me as much because the teleports were all out in the open and in abandoned buildings and stuff. Bozja, on the other hand, has these guarded camps with NPCs that are literally just for show / atmosphere, and I hate it.

Honestly I wish even overworld mobs chased people around for miles.

Im fine with them chasing for longer but they should probably de-aggro when entering a camp.

On the one hand, yes, it's annoying. On the other hand...

Final Fantasy Eleven would like a word.

Imagine that mobs don't EVER stop chasing until you exit the zone or die.
Now imagine that they pick up potentially dozens of adds, with even normally non-aggro mobs of their type
joining in the chase and also NEVER giving up.
Now imagine that, when the chase is over, they don't go non-aggro while they quickly run home, but instead
slooooowly walk home while remaining aggressive the entire time.

There was a place called Crawler's Nest that was regularly shut down for (real life) days on end from the
murder swarm of over a hundred high-level crawlers just inside the door.

So yes, it's totally annoying, but it could be worse.

It can definitely be annoying in Bozja at times. It doesn't make the overworld feel threatening, a lone random mob chasing me around is never hard to get away from, it's just annoying and eats up time either stopping to kill it or trying to get it to finally leash so you can get on with where you were trying to get to.
