NPCs too stupid in battles and instances

They are not. You can try the first room in the duty for yourself if you'd like. Sprint ahead of them and reach the door without getting spotted. Meanwhile Yshtola and co will waste time chatting about how dangerous the duty is and casually walk over to you, while you're already at the door, and die.

I actually did that when I did it. They didnt die or get detected. They walked right though one of the golems. Maybe you just had a lag spike. It happens
