I guess there is a missunderstood, i meant to say, if you're doing 300/450 on the Week 1, you'll be at 300/900 on week 2, 300/1350 on week 3, with no reset between the weeks, so it doesn't break savage at all, as it still keep up the same time to gather the stuff. It only help people that miss a week to still have a chance earning their point they missed on week 1 & 2.
It's Like the PvP on WoW, you can catch up if you're late.

And then if you use your token, it doesn't pull it back to 0.

It's not necessary to do this.

If your friends don't do Savage, they're only going to have around an average level of 520 after fourteen weeks of capping tomes. Meanwhile you can get 510 on the very first day you return. There's not a reason to close that gap to an equivalent 520 if you aren't doing Savage content.

However, if your friends do Savage, they can pull you up to their ilvl by getting you i530 drops, and you can clear the lower tiers in 497 gear (based on my personal attestation). Again, this catches you up to a 520+ level (ie above the tomestone weekly average) in much less time than 14 weeks.

For me, it was less than seven weeks to reach the average ilvl of 520, through doing both Savage and capping tomes.

So you don't need to raise the tome cap for a catchup mechanic, you can either do more difficult content, or you don't really need the higher ilvl if you don't want to do more difficult content.
