Whats the best Combat based activity to make gil?

Hello im looking for a new way to make some money because i got bored of crafting and gathering stuff.

I usually play solo and don't do raids, maps (i never find a group) or bosnia stuff. If someone has a few ideas plz let me know, i dont mind if it dosnt give as much as crafting or gathering.

If solo is your mindset then not going for Bozja is a mistake. You don't even need to actively participate in FATEs or Criticals, you can just go around farming mobs for Fragments, doing this actively and efficiently even solo is a great way to make gil. It's actually what I'm doing most of the time at the moment so I can progress relics.

There is also attempting solo Heaven on High and Palace of the Dead. It'll take you a while to reach the higher floors, and consistently, but when you get there, the Gil you can make from it is incredible.

Aside from that, just running dailies, and doing solo raids like Coils of Bahamut and then doing desynth'n loot from both is quite nice. Granted the former you generally do passively.

Hm do i need max lvl in Bosnia for that, im still at lvl 7 or something like that because i really dont like that zone. Btw. are the deep dungeons scaled down if you do them solo instead of a group like less monsters, hp or something like that? The Bahamut stuff sounds like something i would like, i allways thought the desynth stuff from that loot was pretty worthless. Thing im gonna check that out. Thanks for the ideas

Deep Dungeons don't scale in accordance with the number of people in the group, but if you can find more people then that is all the better! You don't really need max level no, but it certainly helps with having access to better essences and duty actions. For example, at Rank 15 I'm using Bloodsucker, with Banner of Noble Ends, and Cure II with Reraiser, and I'll just run around and train a massive bunch of mobs, personally I do the Worms in the middle area with a friend, and get between 3-5 fragments per pull, with each fragment going for anywhere between 5-8K Gil. They don't take long to top off either, and being the Rank that I am I just do Castrum as and when it pops to progress my relics from 500 > 510, as well as get some coins which I can use to sell the augment coffers. It's not for me to say obviously, but Bozja is a lot more fun when you play it in a varied way as opposed to just move from one Skirmish to the next endlessly.

If you are a lower level rank though, then you can pretty much look into fragment farming with Lost Reflects, but they do require very specific weather and the price per fragment is quite a bit lower. But you can sell these all the same as people will buy them for whatever need they have, including to get the Bozjan Earrings for the +10% EXP rate.

Desynthesis is weird.. Generally, it's not something to proactively do, especially with respect to dungeons, but it gives an additional use to the gear that you loot roll on. I mean, why after all across the course of an expansion wouldn't you desynth items to passive make good Gil? Coils can be a bit weird at times, but given how fast you can farm them the loot over-time can be quite nice, but mainly for orchestrion rolls. I guess a certain degree of crafting would be involved, and the demand wouldn't be as high as the supply.. But like the Faded Copy of White Raven goes for 50K~ here on Chaos and then the Answers final scroll around 150K~.

Hunt Trains would be a good way to make some gil too!

I know you're specifically asking for combat based, but I am curious what kind of gil you're looking to make. If you're trying to get, say, 1,000,000 a week? or just 100,000?

I ask because there is a huge amount of gil to be made just by doing passive stuff (retainers, Doman weekly donation, etc). I just want to make sure you're not missing out on the easy fruit, so to speak.

..Now all that said, to your question: Kaurhz handled it nicely; Hunt Trains are solid, steady work... selling Bozja drops (For now) is decent and the Deep Dungeons are your options for solo (or at least working with a faceless horde)

You might also consider wondrous tales, but in my experience it has a lot of randomness to the prizes, so while it can pay well.. it doesn't always work out.

Doman donations gave gil? Didnt had them done in a long time. My aim is to make several millions through combat stuff and if possible something that doesn't lose its value to fast, so that i have something that i can do regularly. Im checking out right now the coil stuff Kauhrz suggest and that seems like something i could get use to also i like PoD but for everything above 100 you need a fixed group sadly, never tried to do this solo so far but i remember from lvling my other jobs that the floos between 60 and 100 took quite some time and im not sure if the drops you get from the bags are still worth something today.

Also Farmin dungeons for collectables would be an idea i could get use to, but for that i would neet something like a loot list where you can see which dungeon bosses drops what, but i have never seen something like that.

They do, you get bonus Gil from the items, so it is better than vendor selling them, generally. Coils may be a little finicky to do.. Like White Raven can be annoying to solo, but equally, he can take 45 seconds if you use a Samurai and burst him on a specific cast.. Either dying before the last phase or skipping ads entirely, which is quite nice!

Heaven on High you can still get the Gyr Abanian Plait which is worth 2M Gil. But the going loot rate is incredibly bad, and that is something you can get from floors 21-30 which is generally the leveling floors. If you have classes you need to get from 61-70 then it can be a multipurpose opportunity.

EDIT: Gardening comes to mind too if you have a house to access!!

    .
You can easily make 60K per day simply doing a map run, some daily quests, and a roulette or two. That's ~2 million a month doing almost nothing.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Yea i have a house but gardening seems a bit hard to handle in this game, i have tried it in the past even with guide and so on but it allways ended in crap. Also the final product wasnt much more worth than the seeds, tried it around last summer.

For now im sticking with final coil 3. It easy, i can lvl my desynth a bit (not sure if it even helps today) and the stuff you get out of it is still worth something on my server. I could also do Final 4 but that takes way to long, even if the body part is still worth a lot.

Not sure about the whole thing of advanced Gardening, but there are even basic things you can do such as Voidrake and Althyk Lavender, both are very easy and have a 24-hour growth time, so you don't really run much risk.. Not even entirely sure they even need tending to. These items you can use as a currency for trading with the Curious Crop Exchange with the Merchants for items such as ingots, ores, and nuggets even! For instance: https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/A...%20Exchange%20
