I saw that the issue for mac's version compatibility had been fixed so I started fresh, deleted the old game, and gave it a clean install.

It actually opened the login menu, which is more than it would even do before, but after updating to the newest version of FFXIV on the login screen, I hit "play" and I am receiving the error message "A fatal directX error has occurred (10000000)" once the new window (that would normally play the intro cinematic) pops up. No video ever shows up, and there's no other option but to close the game.

This error happens every time I log in and hit "play". I took the time to uninstall and reinstall and repatch everything over again and the same thing happens.

I am running MacOS Big Sur ver.11.2.1
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016)
2 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 (it could be better, but I was able to run FFXIV before the compatibility issues started)
8 GB 1867 MHz LPDDR3
Intel Iris Graphics 540 1536 MB

I tried to find a solution on my own, but they involved finding a config file, which I can find on my PC, but not on the mac. I have no idea how to access the graphic setting on the mac.
