Infinite loading screen or CtD when logging into character

Is the game installed on a secondary drive? If so, could you try reinstalling it onto the C drive to see if the crash still occurs? Additionally could you try disabling any overlays and background programs?

Alrighty, SO!

Reinstalled to my C drive and then launched the game with everything I could think of running in the background closed. Logged in a-okay. Went through the post-Refulgence fight cutscene just fine then teleported to Shirogane and logged out since I normally log out there. Progressively turned things back on and relogged each time. Continued to work just fine. Then reinstalled to my SSD where it originally was aaaand it logs in a-okay still. Did a computer restart so that any background stuff I didn't think of would be turned back on and running like it was before to see if the game would lock up again, but nope logged in as normal.

I'm not really sure what happened, but thanks for the assistance! Computers are chaotic magics I guess :^).
