Can't Login to Main Character

Hello, for the past 3-4 days I have been unable to log into my main character. I've taken various steps to attempt to fix this, and nothing has worked, and I have not been getting much help from support, so I decided to create a ticket here.

- It started with me accepting a teleport from an NPC to the Fringes in Stormblood, during the quest "Beyond the Great Wall". On the loading screen, my character dc'd and the game crashed to desktop. Every time I attempt to login to that specific character, the game crashes to desktop.

- I can login to any other character, just not my main character

- I have attempted reinstalling the game, clearing the files under "My Games" in Documents, reducing all graphical settings and resolutions, and changed firewall settings.

- I contacted support in-game and they told me they are unable to teleport characters that I cannot log into myself (for some reason?). This entire problem started because I am unable to login to my character. They told me they were unable to help (???) and to contact support online.

- I contacted support through the help desk with a ticket, and all they told me was to try clearing my data in My Games (which I did) and other than that I just have to wait until my character "logs out" without providing any ETA on that. Will it take a couple more days for that to happen? Weeks? Months?

Because I can login to other characters but not my own, I am entirely certain it is on FFXIV's side and not my own computer.

If support can't do anything to fix this and can't do anything with my character, I would at the very least like to know how long I am intended to wait before I can access my character again, if ever.

have had this issue for three weeks now. Ive done everything listed on all the forums and videos ect. Even clean install of game and windows with only the game on the computer. It worked for 3 days then stopped

Sadly i dont see much hope for players that get this error as im going on four weeks with basically no support.

What is the error message received when logging onto the character? Additionally, does it help if Final Fantasy XIV is installed on the C drive?

That worked. I reinstalled it on a different drive, cleared the entire folder under My Games, and also closed all background applications. I can't say which of it, or a combo of them, fixed the problem, but I can now log in.
