It may not be the PvE content you're used to but it's still content. I just get whatever content they give us and make the most of it. The time spent on it can be extended by getting more of the rewards and the achievements for every job.

ultimates are now likely to be cut going into the future.
I think this is unlikely. It seems like they can usually manage 2 per expansion and this will most likely continue in the next expansion. The second one just didn't make this expansion because of COVID-19 and this should be perfectly understandable.

The class design has also taken a considerable hit, being dumbed down on all fronts. Healers, for example, have been miserable to play for the past expansion and the differences between tanks feel superficial. Some DPS classes do feel the best they've ever been, of course, but others? Bard and Machinist, for example.
I don't see how anything has changed with healing from Stormblood. You used to press your one damage button and you still do that.

That's how tanks are supposed to be. They are all fundamentally tanks. Their rotations feel different though and they do have their own strengths and weaknesses. It may not matter which tank you play but they do all feel different enough.

Most people would have to say that Machinist is the best it's ever been. I don't think any significant change was made to bards in Shadowbringers, except having it not rely on Critical Hit so much?
