Put me down as another voice of decent against the enormous line up of man-dresses' I have as an option when healing.

Of course if the devs really are dead set on continuing their design trend for healers they could do so and still make us happy. It would be super simple. All we need is the class restrictions on glamour to be lifted. That would immediately fix the problem with no new assets needed.

I really don't understand why the same devs who gave us the Numazu costume think tank glamourd healers would be immersion breaking.

This, exactly this. Tanks have been in bikini armour since glamour prisms first became a thing. Just look at the original coerthan gear.

A healer or caster in plate isn't exactly immersion breaking, in fact its sensible and there's a precedent. If the devs are looking to ff4 for references, perhaps they chanced upon a rather key character called Golbez? A man who fights with top tier magic while in a suit of armour that would make a tank jealous

I agree. Personally I would have preferred a proper cloak to a skirt cloak thing. I'd put a few sketches down of what I think it should look like, if you want, or if I'm allowed.

I tried my best. The leg armour was hard to draw. Sorry it's so messy.

I’ve always been in the camp of yes I do love the robes and coats but I also like the idea of a caster in armor. Doesn’t have to be full plate like tanks but armored healers are just so appealing. Clerics in other games I’ve played are able to wear chain mail so maybe something akin to that. Robes and coats are great, and I like a good number of them but a little variety never hurts.

I agree i'd like the casters to get more armored sets but the few times they make armored sets people making counter threads here complaining against getting armored gear on mages and i assume its the reason they dont release more.

I mean, look at Alphy - he's been a traditional support/healer role since HW, more so in ShB and....EW(?), and has had 4 outfits so far - classy, aristocratic looking? absolutely, but none of them are long full body robes, let alone a frilly dress.

Alisaie is on the same boat, In fact, all roles now have an oddball that doesn't fit the "role stereotype" [I'm looking at you, GNB, DNC and RDM] even Sage seems will be a rather aggressive healer, not a gentle glitter-thrower like the other 3.

so apparently the only option that doesn't "stress the newbies" is either pressing 1211111111, or do nothing at all.
