Yeah, if there aren't 3 coming out in EW, then it sounds like they have already decided to exclude one ultimate. I wonder what kind of "content" they are going to work on instead? To the shock of absolutely no one. Although, this does put to rest the whole argument they're simply delaying Ultimate. Yes, they're delaying this Ultimate while cancelling the one originally slated for 6.1.
What's a little concerning is Yoshida doesn't exactly sound confident regarding even two Ultimates.![]()

I really don't care if you like the story or not, that's up to you but to say that no one cares about the story couldn't be more wrong. One of the big reasons Shadowbringers got such a high praise was because of the story and even the story writer got a standing ovation for it.
>No one
>I know at least 15 people who only sub for the story.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the people who love the story intensely outweigh the people who love the battle content, let alone the people who love Ultimate. The battle designers aren't the ones putting farmville into the game. Ultimate was cut due to them needing all battle designers on-board for Endwalker battle content development due to COVID impacting their work flow.
From all your posts, it seems extremely clear you're unsatisfied with Square doing what any smart business would do and prioritize the content that will be vastly more played by the people bringing in the $$$ than more niche battle content. if you're that unsatisfied, vote with your wallet; complaining on the forums will get you nowhere; they made the decision to cut ultimate fully well knowing it'd annoy a smaller vocal portion of their fanbase so you're yelling into the void on this matter.
I honestly get the impression they don't actually enjoy developing Ultimate, and only do so grudgingly. Nearly every interview, they cite both the difficulty and stress. Although, I suspect the dev team as a whole is just more excited seeing people try xyz, play with it for however long and move on to something else compared to the frustration inevitably brought on by attempting an extremely difficult fight. While disappointing, I cannot exactly disagree with the assessment someone made in the discord we've been discussing this.
Well I mean, think about it from their perspective: they're creating an insanely difficult fight that likely very few members of their team can even clear, it's also something that while a large number of players may actually attempt, few will clear and garner the rewards, it takes a massive amount of resources to develop a regular savage raid with 1 boss but now you have a 20 minute long fight with multiple bosses appearing with new attacks and forms possibly so they can't just pull resources from prior fights. So it's an immense time sink for them and lots of new assets need to be developed, meanwhile they likely have some of the same people that are developing the savage raids and 24-mans and trials, that are also working on ultimate.

This Fox exercises its right to remain silent when any asks what does it say
Well it's clear which content is more popular. When a even patch drops and savage content gets released, what gets more views on twitch? The story content or the savage race?
Answer's pretty obvious here. There's a reason no one watches another person do the story on twitch, it's boring. The story isn't even good.
If you're going to troll and purposely incite conflict, at least be creative. No one, from the casual-est of casual to the 100% speed killer remotely believes this nonsense. The overwhelming majority of players care far more about the story than Savage or Ultimate. While we can certainly argue whether one demographic gets cater towards too often, let's not get delusional.

There wont be anything else 'instead'. Of course it ultimately means there's less content, that's what Delays do, they push everything back, so within a certain time frame you have less that there would have been.
These little "gotcha" comments are pretty pathetic. "Ahah! you said 'delay' but actually it means 'cut' which is totally different and therefore you lied. Gotcha!"
This isn't even a 'game development' thing specifically. Anyone who has ever worked on a large scale project, or had to professionally deliver a product in a certain time frame will understand this. Y'all need to grow up.
They're likely constrained by budgets and management choices, and nothing they do to make up for that is going to 'replace' the content lost from this delay.
They could go out of their way to work harder and provide more, like they did with Viera/Hrothgar hats, but Japanese work ethic being what it is, I'd hope they don't kill themselves trying.
I know you love forum trolling, but when you're making a valid thread you have to stop attacking other content if you want to be taken seriously.
It's a legitimate topic and a shame if it gets buried and ignored, or flamed, simply because "it's an MPK thread".
