Crafting parties, an idea

so I was talking with a friend today about crafting multiple items in a single go, bc of mats its not possible.. But! what if you could form a party of ?# of people and enter a "workshop" (instants room like a dungeon or fc workshop) deposit it a tone of mats and each person takes up a work station (like a production line) and then you all craft parts of a whole item and get finished parts at the end.
For example the new snazzy super cool jackets (I forget what they are called I dont have one yet). you have a weaver, leather worker, blacksmith and goldsmith each making parts and at the end all 4 of them walk out with a new jacket. so like if you don't have weaver up then its no problem cause your friend does. havn't touched goldsmith? grab another friend.

Some of the other things we though about was how to do it with out making more work. So you would still end up using the same skills for the job. but other questions like breaking or failing the synth? what happens? do you just fail and leave with what's finished? and other such issues.
Then came the talk of incentives to use the workshop vs how crafting is now alone and single. I was thinking bonuses and special recipes. like for using it and being with in 5ish lvls of each other.

Well that was just some ideas I had about it. I'm posting it here cause I'm not sure where else to post it.
What are your thoughts?

Sounds just like FC crafting used to be. A bunch of crafters making parts for a finished product.

Something that was removed as it was always hard to get four people who wanted to help.
