Does anyone play FFXIV on PC using a 4K TV?

Context: I play FFXIV on PC. (I only play FFXIV. I very rarely play anything else)I want to take advantage of 4K as my graphics card can handle it, and was curious if anyone plays FFXIV on PC using a 4K TV as their monitor.I ask this, because a 4K TV would be the better bang for my buck right now as PS5's are impossible to come by and I don't have the cash for both and I already have a great PC capable of running FFXIV in 4K.

I know many folks argue response time/input lag? But its FFXIV.... how bad is or isnt it? I'm not looking to play first person shooters here...

or If gaming on PC using a 4K TV is truly utter trash, what 4K monitors can you recommend if any under $400?

I wish I could, but I cant just toss up to $400 at something I want to "try".

I play on a 40" 4K TV hooked up to my PC and it works great, I love it.

I'm hearing folks over on reddit say the same thing! I'm probably going to look into a decent 4K TV then and give it a whirl.
A nice guy over on reddit pointed out that the GCD and server lag of FFXIV makes it such that input lag isn't much of an issue, so that's a win for me.

My relative on FFXIV is currently running on a 4K monitor with a GTX 1080 Ti. (TV or Monitor doesn't matter, just resolution) Works fine for her but problem with the UI scaling is problematic for some text that needs some work on for high resolution display.

It’s fine considering FFXIV is one of the most latency friendly MMO’s. Some TV’s are much better than others. Check rtings.com. My TV input lag 4k @ 60 Hz @ 4:4:4 is 15.0 ms. 1440p @ 120 Hz is 5.9 ms

Although not a TV, I have a 4k "content" display, 60Hz - because I care about things like color accuracy and depth over ridiculously fast refresh rates. And...

It works just fine and looks beautiful.

I use a Samsung 4k 60hz monitor , U28 E590.
No a 'super gaming monitor' by any means , but it can do 60Hz at 4k over one Display cable.

I drive it with 2x GTX 1080 TI in SLI mode . And yes , FF XIV scales pretty good with almost double the frame rate in SLI over a single card.
UI and text scaling is no problem . Pixels almost unnoticeable at viewing distance , so anti aliasing is not necessary , not that it really impacts frame rate.

I have 3 x 4K monitors, one is 60 inches, the others are 32 inches. I often run two FFXIV clients at the same time. It's awesome.
