    Constant 2002 Errors

So ever since I upgraded FFXIV from Basic Edition to all the Expansion packs some months ago, I have had a constant flow of 2002 lobby server errors. The game will let me log in and play as normal, but the next time I try to log in I get the 2002 error and the game force-quits. The quickest way to fix the issue from a tech standpoint is simply to restart the router - but i do not live alone in my house with easy control of the router. Unplugging the router causes a disruption to everyone else using the internet in the home (equally, not having control of the router is why I am not able to plug into it through an ethernet cable), and in edition every time I unplug the router and plug it back it causes a weird password issue with another router user's Mail program (though that, obviously, is not an issue for FFXIV tech support).

To sum up: a 2002 error once in a blue moon wouldn't be a problem, but a near-daily occurrence is extremely disruptive and the 'quick-fix' solution of a router reset is no quick-fix at all when you have the juggle the needs of an entire household who do not appreciate you interrupting their internet to play an MMO (not to mention that if the problem occurs late at night, I can hardly go sneaking around trying to reset the router).

Please help. Even if I did have full control of the router, these constant resets would still be a serious annoyance, and as-is it's creation friction in my household.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We would like to recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

    - Ensure the latest version of Safari is installed on your Mac (even if you don't use Safari.)
    - After updating, open Safari browser and make sure that all Browser History and Cookies/Web Data have been deleted.
    - Please also make sure that "Cookies" are accepted and not being filtered.

Once these options have been adjusted, please run the Apple Update program to check that all firmware is up-to-date on you Mac OS. Once this process is complete, please re-launch the FINAL FANTASY XIV application.

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Safari is updated, cookie data was deleted, and cookies are not being blocked. Firmware is updated and I applied the port forwarding on my router:

This has not resolved the problem. Did I do the port forwarding incorrectly?
