Theoretically, if you were level capped at 15, wouldn't you still be able to progress the story (finish this part, go on to the next chain of events)? It's just now you have a fixed level which the devs can be sure you are at and give you what is sure to be a level appropriate challenge? Same with goes quests. What's so magical about 50?

If so ignore anything you may have learned over there. None of what was said even remotely true.

And yes your building your character they are addong instanced dungeons sometime soon (delayed due to earthquack + tsunami + multi nuclear reactors going melt down)

they plan on fixing combat and adding dungeons plus adding compaines (finally)

X i'm that type of person. I don;t need a carrot to enjoy a game. I just log on and do w.e I want w/o a goal.
Nah, I missed DCUO. I saw the trailer, went huh, and remember I hate it when devs waste money on those things and never show ingame footage. Didn't look back.

Well that's good to hear. So why as someone put it, do we have to invest into the time sink to enjoy those things? Does the gameplay itself get significantly more complex as the levels roll on? Is it more leveling for the sake of leveling? Are the things you can do at 50 much different in nature than what you can do at 15 (and if so does the gameplay change over time to prepare you for it)?

If as gifthorse said, these things are pointless time sinks, then wouldn't SE have been better off in not having time sinks (and also reducing the useless cap on GLs since you don't have to sink time into the game to rank up)?
