More storage space is long overdue

Hoarding is keeping stuff for the sake of keeping it, not when you have a use for it. I hold onto a lot of raid tokens because I want a lot of that gear for glamour, which I don't have room for. If they made all of those tokens proper currencies that would free up a lot of space. If it was all available for poetics that would also help. However implementing a collection based glamour system would solve a lot of inventory problems. So would crafting inventory. This trading around the belt inventory shows that they have a real problem and they need take time to address it.

Maybe those asking for it just need to be better organized.

That all aside, we absolutely 100% could use more space in the glamour dresser.
If you're gonna keep adding glamour items SQEX then pleass expand the place we try and keep them all.

I have trouble getting rid of stuff for the reason of I may have a use for it in the future. Alot of times holding onto stuff has helped in making stuff and what not as I already had said items in inventory. Could I have reobtained them? Of course, but it does save some time when you have what you need in-hand as it were.

And what MMOs out there give us more total inventory than FFXIV does?

Haven't played WoW since Legion but back then we maxed out at 476 inventory slots (that's including the reagent bank tab) assuming we were using all 30 slot bags.

Here we've got 560 general use slots plus an additional 820 restricted slots for gear.

We are absolutely the problem because we want to keep hoarding things we aren't using. Players need to learn to manage inventory better.

WoW doesn't need inventory slots of any kind for their version of glamming. Everything is saved to a log that can hold every single glammable gear appearance in the game.

WoW doesn't have housing so of course players there don't need to store furniture.

WoW uses significantly less varieties of materials for crafting.

I am not trying to say no one has a hoarding problem, but to somehow suggest FFXIV is doing better than WoW with storage means ignoring that players in WoW face a completely different situation with their items.

Also in WoW it is super common for players to have a bank alt. Which is a character whose only purpose is to be used as extra storage. Players here would too if they could mail their alts.

As for FFXIV furniture yes we have a storage system but as it is right now it's only really good for indoor furniture. I am struggling for space solely because of outdoor furniture. For anyone who likes to switch up their garden a lot the internal storage in the housing system is far from enough.

But yes some people need to realise that you can't keep everything in this game. Even if you have the max amount of retainers you would eventually find yourself throwing things out, especially if you are an avid housing decorator.

Dark Matter? No point in keeping any but the highest grade. Sell the rest off.

Um NO as 4 5 and 6 dark matter are used to repair gear sub 60, can also be given away to lower level players for them to repair their gear. It is still useful.

I have 5 retainers at near capacity and like 90% of that is glamour items. Something like a glamour log would pretty much solve my inventory woes instantly. When WoW added the collections tab it pretty much freed up the vast majority of my inventory. I remember in late MoP I was juggling like 20 free slots or something goofy like that and I didnt have near as many transmog items as I do glamour items given that in WoW you are limited to stuff for your class.

I could drop a lot of crafting materials and recover a ton of space, but I am lazy so.. I deal with it

I do agree I would love more spots for glamour, but more importantly... more plates!!

my inventory however, thats my own fault and reminds me, its been a month, I needs to go through my pages of "what if I wear this again" craftable items and... downsize >.>

Higher level dark matter is able to repair all gear below it's grade. The only reason to keep lower level dark matter is if you have a crafter that is not high enough level to use the better ones. Or if you really really really want to pinch gil and only ever use the bare minimum. But that goes against the thread topic.
