I'm guessing you always run away from AoE markers, instead of just taking the hit and self healing with Second Wind or Bloodbath so you won't lose any uptime.I have run thousands of instances. I have maybe been inappropriately rescued once or twice. But it didn't make so much of an impression on me that I can remember specifics. Most of the time I don't see the ability being used at all.
From my perspective it seems strange that some people are being rescued so often they feel victimized by the ability.
Is there something that some people are doing, which I am not, that makes other people feel they need special rescue attention?
For people who enjoy trying to maximize their efficiency Healers can become a pretty annoying obstacle.
I do this all the time and I don't even recall it happening once. Either the healers on Crystal don't bother slotting rescue or they recognize a DPS can handle an AoE or two.
Then communicate with your healers. I've played healers although not in end-game raiding, and I usually will just throw a regen if I see a DPS about to take damage. I don't care if you're trying to "maximize efficiency" or just being dumb, because there's no way to tell. But if the hit is going to be a big one, or if it is part of mechanics (as opposed to randomly targeted damage), then I will Rescue if I happen to be within range.
You cannot expect healers to read your mind. The annoying obstacle is the lack of communication.

Telling the healer at the beginning of each run to not use rescue on me will likely just end up causing unnecessary drama. Plenty of people in this game don't respond well to being told what to do.Then communicate with your healers. Rescue screwing up my DPS or worse is an infrequent thing, but it's still annoying. Rescue only ever causes me problems, so I would in fact really like the option to turn it off.
Honestly, though, I'm not immune to making mistakes. If I do screw up, however, I'd honestly rather take the hit and possibly die than be Rescued out of it. Eating AoEs is how you learn which ones you have to run like hell from and which ones you can ignore.
