Overweight Miqo'te as a playable character! show your support

I can't believe that with the release of Shadowbringers we were teased with overweight Miqo'te in Eulmore. It's honestly disgusting to me that there is obviously the technology to have overweight characters but instead we are left with the standard body type.

I'm incredibly thin IRL so I would love to be able to roleplay as an overweight character as I feel that that would be a very interesting experience that could lead to some fun storylines .



Please square enix add this to the game!!! and everyone else like this thread to show your support

Troll as you may, if they're afraid that removing those sandals from our feet when we're going barefoot would look bad because we might be floating off the ground while we move around, I doubt they'd be willing to risk the possibility of cankles and rolls on their Warriors of Light.

This and gear already behaves in terrible ways with just breast sliders on the bigger side.. I don't think their engine could handle something as simple as a belly slider

Just like with a ton of NPCs, the technology is there for that specific npc; that technology you're bringing up won't work for any WoL in character creation ever.

What do you mean by troll? I'm not trolling! I would love to be able to make my character overweight!

Didn't they make a statement a while back, like a long while back, that because of all the adventuring the WoL does, they just wouldn't maintain those types of body proportions. I mean being a bit husky is one thing, but as long as people are "active" their body usually reaches a state of equilibrium. I would however like to see the male fat cats we saw in the trailer for Shadowbringers.

The main problem with customization is the way our gear works (that also affects the addition of new races because they need to adjust every single item manually). Current armor system wasn't created with long-run successful game with thousands of clothing items in mind, and unless they ever rework it from absolute scratch - the chance of getting customizable bodies is next to zero, because it will be a hell to maintain. Those NPCs have their own separate models with clothes designed specifically for them so they get special treatment.

They would need to redo all of the armors in the game to fit on the new body and that's a big no no.
