So jobs are decided upon from a gameplay perspective first and then are back-filled to fit the lore and story of the game (which explains why no Gunbreakers besides players and Thancred show up on The First). So for speculation, "story-sense" is low on the totem pole of consideration.
All things considered i could care less about the name is everyone feeling like it will use a scythe? This job is singlehandedly pulling me out of retirement
