Sadly after doing tons of research into this. I found that tons of players have this issue and none have found a solution. I hope that you do. As ive switched MMOs untill SE gets this together

It's a pretty unusual problem. I'm inclined to say it's due to the free login campaign and extra server load.
Couple of reasons for that.
1: Firstly is the event viewer, which appears to be pointing to a network issue, however, after diagnostic and trying things out with several game with no issues. Moreover, using an emulator using the dx11 backend and doing some retro stuff. Hardware issues plainly just haven't emerged. and that's even using upscaled graphics etc. I use those to sort of check for if hardware is on the blink. Since usually you'll get error codes straight off the bat. That didn't happen using dx9 or dx11. So that pretty much rules out a hardware problem on my end. Web connection is very stable and there hasn't been any indication of faults.
Gamepad input is fine, graphic drivers are upto date with the current version too.
2: It's that when zoning or logging in only in certain areas, there was errors. More commonly on the dx11 backend I might add. However less common using dx9. Oddly, everything else is fine when in instance. Which doesn't make much sense, but anyway. But that's how the problem manifests itself in my own case. My hotbars messed up a couple of times and didn't load properly. The HUD was acting irregularly too, for instance a queue popped. and although i could move the cursor, because the sound was playing as it should, which means that device communication was working fine. The GUI elements were loaded incorrectly and were not visible. That was using dx9 and only happened once. However. it was becoming problematic in Gangos.
That points to a server side issue and probably needs to be looked into on SE's side. Seems to be that the server is having trouble with increased traffic.
I'm gonna wait until after the free campaign has expired. If it ceases to be a problem past this time. Then it probably means it's the nail on the head. It's the only thing that makes sense. Shame, but that's how it goes.

I have tried almost all the solutions and no go. I can verify that the problem happens during, or shortly after, teleporting. Rarely does a DX11 problem happen once I am safely in a zone for five minutes.
No other program has crashed. Therefore, this appears to be a strictly FFXIV issue. When the game runs, I can run high graphics at 60 FPS with no problem. But, a teleport can suddenly kill the game.
It is time for Square Enix to step up and redo its programming.

Everyone.. I know this dx11 can probably be caused by couple things but my friend recently had this and this is how it was fixed.I have tried almost all the solutions and no go. He had an Asus motherboard, I told him to check bios to disable xmp. In Asus motherboards this was under ai overclock, and it's labelled as "DOCP"
Change that to auto, which will disable it.
We also had him reinstall DirectX runtime.

I am not sure exactly which one fixed it for him. Before that we tried underclocking GPU, reinstall game, reinstall GPU drivers after using DDU and it didn't work.
So definitely if you have a motherboard that automatically tries to overclock memory or CPU, disable those features and then give it a try. To most motherboards it's XMP to Asus motherboard is DOCP
Still same here
Today when I have been trying to complete the "Below the Sea" quest my game has continued crashing. I can log into and talk to people on any other map but when I try to talk to Alisae to continue my MSQ I keep getting the same crash message.
ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 13A548D
ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 6213C
ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 607C3
ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 12F2EE0
ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 12F458F
ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 12F7045
ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 46441C
ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 194E82
Going ahead and adding a "me too" to this thread.
Sometimes I get a DX11 crash, sometimes the game just up and vanishes, no crash message at all.
Nothing like waiting 25 min in a 30 min queue to have the game crash on you.
Just chiming in as I am having the same issues. Whenever I go into the Doman Enclave, i get the ffxiv_dx11.exe errors. If I go through a treasure portal, I get a crash to desktop without any error.
Shifting to DirectX 9 mode seems to work for now, and lets me get the characters out of the broken areas, but I havent done any extensive testing with the possibility that crashes too, yet.
I am having an issue doing the same thing. Have you found a fix for it?
