I too am experiencing frequent dx11 error crashes, oddly enough they are very specifically tied to certain areas. It started with the North Shroud a few months ago, I even replied in an earlier thread about this problem back then, but after trying in vain to fix this problem I found a sort-of workaround for it. I am always playing in Windowed Fullscreen mode, and every time I went to the North Shroud, I switched to Windowed mode, which did not fix the crashes, but it definitely prolonged the time I could spend in the North Shroud. I was not happy with this at all, but "how many times you gotta go to the North Shroud anyway?". I just kicked the can down the road as they say.
However, things have only gotten worse since then and now I got the game dx11 error crashing everywhere arbitrarily. First the crashes came in the Coerthas Western Highlands, but only sometimes. Then I started crashing in Limsa Lominsa on occaison, which stopped me from visiting this city. Furthermore, during the last Ishgard Restoration, sometimes it would crash in the Diadem too. Also I could spend hours upon hours in Bozja before 5.45, no problems to be found, but now my game crashes every time I am in there for like 5 minutes, switching to Windowed mode does not help. I also tried to see if it was tied to a certain weather, but that's not the case. Fair skies, day, night, clouds, thunder, it does not matter.

I have tried everything I could get my hands on. I...
1)updated my Windows, which happens automatically of course, but I'll still mention it
2)keep my GPU driver updated (am using an AMD RX580, not an nVidia card, so those nVidia fixes do not apply to me and I will glare at you if you suggest me an nVidia fix)
3)fumbled around with my ingame graphics settings in any way possible, from the lowest lows to the highest highs, there is no fixing whatsoever concerning crashes while some of the settings like Occlusion Culling, LOD and the grass quality will totally break my graphics if activated. Reducing my graphics from High (Desktop) to Standard (Desktop) however does indeed prolong the time I can spend online, oddly enough only when done this way, but crashes will still happen after a time.
4)tried some of the GPU settings, but I have no idea what I'm doing really. What may sound like an obvious setting to try and change to you sounds like nothing to me.
5)tried in vain to "reinstall" Dx11, but all the sites I found on how to go on about this seem to be nothing but scams that want to sell you some dubious programs which "will totally fix the problem, would we ever lie to you?!". Even the official Windows site fixes, like trying out "sfc/scannow" did nothing, nothing at all! "Yeah there are problems!" WOW REALLY? Who knew?! I have no idea if I ever did a real dx11 reinstall/reparation/restoration/whatever, I don't know how to check for every "solution" I find is different.
6)reinstalled the game twice, the first time did nothing to improve the situation, the second time started the "having crashes almost everywhere too" thing. I dread a 3rd reinstallation for things could be getting even worse.
7)do not overclock my GPU or CPU, I do not know how to do that. If they are overclocking automatically, which might be something these newer things can do, idk, I do not know how to stop this from happening.
8)tried to play with the Dx9 option, but I only get a slightly different error message without the dx11 stuff.
9)I do not use Discord overlays and I do not play FF14 over Steam.

I don't want to say that I'm technically illiterate, but I was not born with in-depth knowledge about hardware and software either. I am quite annoyed at this point, for this error prevents me from doing Bozja altogether at this point. It was totally fine before the patch 5.45 hit, so I do not think that this is a problem with my hardware.
