the current content is designed for 2 months worth of playtime, excluding hardcore extremists. AGAIN. SATIATE. THE. MASSES.
Just because it has 7 years of skill timesinks doesn't mean that's 7 years of longevity. If you believe that, then you're just buying into hype. EvE and Dust are all about specialization and no one gets all of the skills. The skills are gained only by time, not activity. FF14 is doing a good job at putting in content on a bimonthly basis, MMOs rely on added content.So, Dust 514 is a good example for this, a new mmo game that is free to play that has around 7 years worth of game time. What is ffxiv going to do? Right now it takes 0 time to level up each class/job. The only thing that takes time right now is drops. Repeating raid over and over and over again isn't a good way to keep that longevity. So, I'm just wondering what are you going to do Yoshi to keep players engaged for 7+ years?

Right on Denmo, Exp progession is part of the journey but its not the end all. It does need to feel like a journey, currently it doesnt but im pretty sure thats all part of 1.0 easy mode

This is a big concern for me.
Some of these achievement intensives are good, but we need more.
Agree. Most of the things that take ages to do in this game are only easter egg.
Give us something to that takes ages to do that is actually MEANINGFUL to the way our character is played.
only thing we need is contet that can scale and always have a point for doing it.
stuff we have now once you finsh it thats it, get primal weapons your done, get raid equip your done.
leves can be changed to be other than grind fest, we can get day quest that will always change for each class, hamlet can be set up with a better reward system, bhest can be set up with a reward system and build on.
Both systems could be very dynamic, but nooo they just wanna give away anima for reward....only thing we need is contet that can scale and always have a point for doing it.
