Setup a collection for programmers to work on Viera Hair and Helmets

modders are replacing the already existing hair slots viera have with different hair models, iirc? they can’t add entire new hair slots to them.


the issue here is that, unlike when Au ra were implemented in HW, both Hrothgar and Viera were implented in what really feels like a half-finished state. and have pretty much remained that way since then. hell, to change your hair as a Hroth i hear you need to use a fantasia. compared to the other races they feel very limited and lacking, and have been that way since 5.0.

yes, they are. just about any hair or glamour mod does that for any race. this is likely because mods are client side so there still needs to be a pre existing item or slot that your character is actually "wearing".

however, they are still able to adopt the new hair models to Viera (and hats to a certain degree), which is something Square Enix claims is too difficult.

You mean the modders that say "some clipping may occur with specific gear and emotes"? These modders may create nice looking hairstyles, but you're overlooking whether or not they adhere to SE's standards.
Right now the FFXIV team's time is better spent working on content for the new expansion.
