(Please) Don't skip special weapons on the new jobs

Dear Square Enix, I have a concern. As someone who left healer and went to dancer, because I was disappointed in healing, and absolutely adored the new job, do not wait to add crafted weapons.

One part of having a job for me is glamouring. If I don't look good, and I don't have fun, then what's the point?

For most of the patches in Shadowbringers I had to wait for my special glowing weapon, and no I don't just mean trial weapons. I mean the crafted super special looking ones. I was completely disappointed on arrival of 5.0 to find that I couldn't use any of the ones the other jobs have, and stuck waiting for almost the whole expansion. We got Shinryu, but nobody else's. I shouldn't have had to wait so long to just get one weapon that is flashy. I can only go so long with my deep dungeon, and heaven on high weapons too.

Please don\\'t make the same mistake and make me have to wait nearly until the second half or end of the expansion to give me a craftable weapon. I do plan on playing Sage, and I don\\'t feel like waiting for the whole expansion for a piece of gear everyone else has. We don't even have the Tsukyoyomi glowing weapons yet, and they came out AFTER dancer and gunbreaker. It's super depressing.

I've only JUST started to feel like we have some kind of weapon variety for dancer, and it's patch 4.4. I shouldn't have to wait for the relic weapon to feel like we have just a little bit of weapon variety. It's honestly frustrating, and if we get the same problem in 6.x with Sage, it is going to disappoint me.

I'm just accepting that Sage and <insert new dps job here> will not get weapons from previous ex trials or tomes pre-70. Remember that the jobs added in HW start at 30. They had to craft those jobs arms from 30 onward, and that just happened to take trial models that have drops within the msq. RDM and SAM start at 50, and got the same treatment, but we're looking at a lot of previous gear now. We come to ShB, and there's no need for DNC or GNB to need drops in the ARR hardmodes (you are far beyond these now), and given all that was cut from ShB launch, this was it. The Tsukyoyomi weapons came out waaayy before DNC. The crafted weapons are merely an effect slapped onto an existing model (which I already thing shouldn't be a thing. The shiny version should come from the content, and the plain version should be crafted. This is here nor there, though.) The Shinryu arms were a gift we didn't know were coming.

You'll have plenty of models to choose from in EW. The funny shiny weapons will come in time.

(also I will contest that the titania arms for DNC are some of the nicest looking weapons to come out of ShB.)

I'm not accepting this. I shouldn't have to wait so long to get an awesome weapon when all the other jobs have multiple. It's just not fair.

I really don't want baseless rumors that Final Fantasy XIV's money is almost entirely being diverted to Final Fantasy XVI. That is very unlikely to be correct. It's obvious that all games go into the budget to make more, but it's probably not as high as we think. Final Fantasy VII was quite successful too! Unless they publicly disclose funding information, or somebody leaks it, it's quite frankly unknown.

Even the evidence that we DO KNOW disproves it, because we've got

- A ps5 upgrade coming. That has got to be incredibly expensive.

- Datacenter Visiting. That involves messing with the actual data center specifications.. That can't be cheap either. They also have data centers in multiple locations. Europe, China, Korea, Japan, East NA, West NA, and possibly more, but I don't know them all ifyhere is. Datacenters in all these continents adds up. The game must be incredibly expensive to keep online. Not to mention constantly maintained by a dedicated server team. Those people have to be payed, and they have to be able to pay for the equipment too! They also have to make sure the servers are up 24/7 for millions of players every single day. That is not easy.

- The concept artists for every bit of content in the game are not cheap. Have you tried commissioning art before? I have. It's expensive. Artists have pushed far for better pay in recent years.
The same applies to all the 3D models.

My point is... This game is not cheap to run, or make. A constantly evolving online game takes a massive amount of work and funding.

Not really, that's just how PC version works. It's a matter of tuning the settings. When they showed the PS5 version i was like "oh, finally, just like on PCs"

but i really only expect like Crystarium and E12s for lvl 80 weapon and just some tomes and leveling trash between 70-79

I'm actually really interested to see what the fae weapons will look like. I was so happy when those came out. I was using the sch book forever in SB.

Seconded on the deep shadow stuff. Did GNB and DNC get the lowertier tome gear from SB? I don't remember off hand.

If nothing else, they should add Eureka (and maybe Bozja) weapons to them, cause as it stands DNC & GNB don't have Eureka weapons so they're missing out on the elemental bonus on them, and yes people actually still do Eureka and BA
