I apologize for the delay in our response to your concern. Is the Final Fantasy XIV game application allowed through the fire wall? Additionally are you connected to the router through an Ethernet cable?

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
I'm sorry for interjecting. But this isn't a problem on the player's side.

Please look through my other posts and posts that other's have made. It's weeks now.....

This is a persistent problem and it's affecting several players.

I'm going to quote information in which that i have gathered.

The recurring fault is as follows :

    ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 13A548D
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 6213C
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 607C3
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 12F2EE0
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 12F458F
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 12F7045
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 46441C
    ffxiv_dx11.exe+ 194E82

And another when the fault occurs, this happens. In this particular state you can't interact with anything in the game, Menu items, That isn't as it should be, because the sounds are playing, but everything goes wrong, the cursors when this happens are not visible. The hotbars also aren't displayed correctly when lag spike occur. I don't have any examples of that particular problem. But there is something amiss.

(Notably, usually when the error dialog box is displayed, usually the game will freeze, Other times it will instantly close and crash to desktop with no error displayed, but on this occasion, even though you can't see it. An error box was displayed onscreen. Which points to a glitch of some description. DX9 mode is was also bringing up errors when logging into highly populated areas such as gangos or zoning into limsa lominsa immediately after a teleport). It's not just me either.

Really sorry to have to attempt to get a response in this way. But it's annoying to have to deal with a problem that is not on our side as players.

I'm using a fresh install of windows 10, overlays of various apps are disabled, Latest graphics drivers are installed (i have tried rolling back to others before the latest game patch, no effect). Alike the player above. I am using an ethernet cable too. Ccleaner has been run......game cache is fine using steam.....i've ran sfc/ scannow and there are no faults in the windows OS. Mobo drivers are the current upto date ones. I've ensured that all devices are secure. such as HDD, GPU and ran diagnostics on my PSU.

So that basically means that the problem is not on the player's side. I don't know what else to really say.

The evidence is pretty much overwhelming, The dev team need to debug it.

This probably is some changes that were made to the core app following 5.45, I would suggest referencing the hex codes. That it appears to be a fault with Direct X appears to suggest that the game is having problems communicating with devices on a host machine.

    I'll try and refine that.

I believe this to be connected because in my event viewer, there were multiple errors when running the game. When looking at those in the last week, no error events of this sort have occured, I have also been unsubscribed for a week. So that means it is related.

    This is a recurring fault.

I can't be specific about this however and i have no technical prowess to suggest something that may help.

5.41 had no such problems. That's information which might be of use to you're development team. I would suggest copying and pasting this message to them.

(I'm just looking through my event logs and there hasn't been any notable faults from about the 06/03/2021. But that i haven't been playing this game in such a time. that appears to bring up a flag or two. Here's another.

The notable correlation is that the GUID is identical.

I believe that's information that can be made use of for the eggheads.

I'm sorry that i don't know more. And again i am sorry for needing to interject and respond in such a fashion. I'm hedging my bets that you would be informed of a response in general and It may bring something to attention with some helpful information.

It seems that there's something here that can be of use though. Evidentially, this isn't a problem with other games. So it more or less eliminates the possibility of it being hardware related or driver related.
