    Legacy Controls Character Turn Speed?

So I greatly enjoy the freedom of movement included with Legacy, but I have one or two crucial issues that I'm not sure if they're possible to resolve, so I'm asking here.

I use my keyboard basically exclusively. I do not use my mouse at all, unless if I have a ground-target skill, and generally then if it's one I can get away with macroing I will macro it. This is what my hotbar setup looks like (currently for Warrior):

It may not be easy to tell from the screenshot, but I move around using WASDQE, target party with F1~F9, target nearest enemy with 1, target target's target with 2, and then all the skills I use are on the numpad in some shape or form. I just outright don't use my mouse if I can avoid it. I even have it set up where I can target chests, NPCs, etc. with the tilde. Used to have Sacred Soil and Eos placements fully mouse-controlled and hated it, so I made a macro for both. (I still have Place on my hotbar outside the macro in case I need to put her somewhere specific, but I have a macro of Place to throw her directly at the tank. Same thing with Sacred Soil, except I don't keep un-macroed Sacred Soil on my hotbar anymore, just a version for tank and a version for <tt>.)

    So here's my issue:

I love Legacy's movement thanks to the easy turn-around, but for me the character does not turn around fast enough when pressing A/D, and the lack of the ability to press a button and have the camera either face where my character's facing or vice versa makes it a little bit less conventional. The camera is my biggest problem.

Basically, I would love it if the camera speed when turning was closer to the speed of turning when using camera-based movement. Is there some way to fix this? The option "character turn speed" does not noticably change anything as far as I can tell, and I have it cranked to 100%. I've tried putting camera left/right turn on Q/E, but the loss of strafing (or alternatively normal turning) was awful, though the camera itself was nice. Then I tried camera controls on the arrow keys. Worked pretty well, but there was a bit of awkwardness considering I use numpad for combat.

I guess to summarize what I'm looking for is something that is basically legacy W/S but camera-based A/D in functionality. Is it possible to achieve that somehow?

I also don't touch my mouse during most of my play time.

In /characterconfig, the option just above Character Turn Speed is Camera Speed (Keyboard). Set that higher and your camera will turn faster, ergo faster legacy turning.

I'm not 100% sure if this is what you're asking for at the end about about legacy W/S with camera-based A/D, but here's what my legacy keybinds look like:

Notice I have Move Left|Right / Turn Left|Right bound to Q and E and nothing is bound to Strafe (because strafing while moving backwards will still force a backpedal), and Point Camera to the Left|Right are A and D. The camera spins when I press A/D, and then W/S moves back and forth. Q and E allow quick dodging to the left or right, and arrow keys are bound to movement so I can use either hand to move based on which hand is less busy doing other things.

You can also set a button that resets the cam position by Saving Current Camera Position to behind your character at the angle you want, and then Returning Camera to Saved Position to snap it back to behind your character. Return Camera to Default Position is probably useless to you; it resets the height and distance of the camera but not the direction the camera is facing.

Bonus tangential off-topic, strictly speaking, but hey bonus answers answer: You don't need a separate button for Place. Just add /pac Place with no target to the end of your Go Hover Over The Tank macro. When you press it, she'll fly to the tank and you'll get a manual cursor. Activating any other action will cancel the cursor if you don't need it. You can also do this with mouseover ground targets. One line for targeting <mo> and one line with no target. If your mouse is over a valid entity, it'll center the ground target on them. If your mouse is not over a valid entity, you'll get a ground target cursor. Then you can rest your mouse over, i.e., the party list or the target bar to preposition depending on the action, or leave your mouse over a non-target UI element like a chat window or hotbar if you want to place it manually.

I've tried increasing the camera speed and all it does it change the speed at which the arrow keys control the camera, not when I hold A/D, unfortunately. As for mouse-over, I don't like using my mouse at all if I can help it. It's very uncomfortable for me to use, which is why I have my macros the way they are. I have my setup specifically to meld best with what's comfortable for me, which doesn't happen to include the mouse.

But did you set A and D to Point Camera to the Left and Point Camera to the Right?

I did try that, and unfortunately it made movement extremely awkward.

Okay. So could you please clarify what you mean by

I thought that's what the config I shared was doing but it appears I misunderstood what you're asking for.

I'm at least certain that I did address this part:
the lack of the ability to press a button and have the camera either face where my character's facing or vice versa makes it a little bit less conventional. The camera is my biggest problem.
Use the Save Current Camera Position and Return Camera to Saved Position keybinds to create a "snap camera to behind character" button.

The reverse you don't have to do anything special for--it is the defining feature of Legacy movement. Move Forward snaps your character to the direction the camera is facing.

To clarify, I wanted A/D to still move the character but be more like how A/D functions with camera-based movement. (basically, turning much faster. Character Turn Speed sadly doesn't seem to have any effect on this)

As for the camera snap you suggested, I'll definitely look into that.

Then it sounds like you want to map A and D to "Move Left / Turn Left" and "Move Right / Turn Right".

Is it possible to have it double mapped like that?
