I get your problem. You want to take a break and not have to worry about subbing for a month to make sure you reset a housing timer to avoid losing your house because there are so few plots available and they are expensive.

But your solution would only make the ultimate cause of your problem worse.

A better solution is the often proposed instanced housing. It would let them create as many houses as there is demand and I would even allow for people who own houses in wards to freely transfer to instanced housing. Freeing up a plot for someone who would want a house out in the open rather than an FC who wants a private clubhouse.

Edit to add: If the technology is there, they could even allow for ward houses who time out to be transferred to instanced housing. That way players don't lose the house, just the public facing aspect and they can pay to transfer to an appropriate sized lot when one opens if there isn't already an open one.
