[Suggestion] New job starting level selection

With Sage slated to start at lvl 70 in the upcoming expansion, I want to bring up a simple suggestion for the starting level when unlocking new jobs:

I'd love the option to select a starting level when unlocking a new job. E.g.: level 1, level 30, level 50, level 60 or level 70 with the max being as intended for that job.

Personally, I enjoy the leveling experience. I'd love a selection for each new job, with the starting levels of previous jobs as selectable options. In short:
    • MCH, AST and DRK start at 1 or 30
    • RDM and SAM start at 1, 30 or 50
    • GNB and DNC start at 1, 30, 50 or 60
    • Sage & the new melee job at 1, 30, 50, 60 or 70.
Is this technically feasible? Are there others who'd like an option like this? Would you suggest different start level values? Let me know what you think!

The primary issue with jobs being able to start at level 1 is that they'd be forced to design and create weapons for the entire level spectrum of these jobs.

Look at GNB, for example. because it starts at level 60, it has zero weapons in the game from level 1 -59, meaning they'd have to go back and create a level 1 weapon for it to even be able to start at level 1. But then a level 1 weapon will not carry it to level 60, so they'll need to implement a ton of weapons for it. Even assuming they could re-skin or re-use every manatrigger in-game several times over to not have to design unique models for every dungeon set, they'd then have to go back and add the weapons to merchants, dungeons, etc.

TL: DR, while it's possible, there's zero chance they're doing it.

One option I'd see them doing ***if*** they did this, is creating a blanket weapon. Kind of like how there's special earrings that you can have the stats on it sync'd depending on your level (Like the Aetheryte earring) that would give you appropriate stats depending on your level.

But there'd be no story quests or anything to fill some of the gaps of leveling up in low levels, as well as it already being way too easy to level up from low levels now, more so if you have one class at a higher level, so I dunno why'd they do this (Unless they would have started every introduced class at 30 like drk/mch/ast)

Please show support for chocobo boots to be added -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/323512-Suggestion-for-an-item-to-be-added-to-gold-saucer-Chocobo-Boots

Unhappy with how they implemented Mahjong? -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/381358-Mahjong-is-the-most-depressing-mini-game-you-ve-added-to-XIV

I like the idea of an aetheryte-earring style weapon to fill the gaps, it'd only require 1 additional weapon per job. I could live without the story quests until 70 (in the case of Sage) if it meant having fun just progressing through the older content again!

This is one of the main reasons why one of the first things I always do with a new job is to run PoTD with it. It helps me get into the flow of a new class and get the feel of how it's intended to play right from level 1. It's not the whole levelling spectrum, of course, but it's a nice short crash course in building your knowledge of a class without being slammed in the face by 3 hotbars full of skills and a book worth of tool tips to read through.
