It looks awesome to me!
Obviously a bit wild fantasy but... that's cool news, I think. Also gives me some vibes of that one city in FFIX (but with it's own special twists), I wouldn't say a copy just maybe slightly inspired by.
FFIX:
I'm very excited to explore it. I really hope those awesome vistas are part of the city.
If I had to offer a small critique is, and this is honestly not that fair as it would be a huge shift..., but the watercolor-y (? pastel? I'm not an artist lol) artistic imagery from the concept art gets a little lost in the in game graphics. It would be cool if those translated a bit more, but... that's uh.. that's a shift in art styles pretty much. So I know that's a bit unfair to state.. lol.
Example:
I think the lighting isn't helping it too much in the game screenshot, as if you look at this it feels a bit closer to the concept art (in the "visual" vibe):
So maybe just manipulating the lighting a bit to add a bit more fantasy art style even if it takes away from the realistic lighting or something? I know maybe a bit weird and hard request. Overall the concept art is absolutely amazing, and the rich in game photos look also amazing.

I am. I have been hoping to see this place for a long time. Though I had hoped it would be a main city state and not a side one, it does seem be getting a lot of attention. Hopefully it won't be too small.

As a dancer main and someone who wrote their character's background as being from Thavnair, I'm looking forward to it!
Family Medicine doctor.
Constantly learning.
Signature art by @simanokoB on Twitter. Thank you!
I am honestly looking more towards the glamour that the new zone could bring. The city itself looks great in concept art but I wonder how it will truly look ingame.
As I am with all new locations: Gimmie that furniture. Finally we may get some eastern looks that suit the Goblet~~

I love the looks of it! It’s so colorful and pretty.

Yay, I can finally respond on this thread! Been locked out of the forums for like two days cause I'd been playing EQII instead of XIV the past couple of weeks. Ironically I was logged in working on crafter relics both days but the forums are sloooooooow to register this.
I also had thought we were going to get something either more middle eastern (though Ul'dah does cover this a bit) or maybe Indian since I was imagining this huge, bustling Bazaar area brimming with barter and trade. I hadn't even considered mezo American but I really that idea.
I'm also excited about going to Garlemald. I was just more excited about Radz-at-Han since it was so much more mysterious.
I am definitely looking forward to the glam. Hopefully we'll get some nice colorful options. And I'm very interested to see the story with the beast tribe.
Also second the idea that there are things to do there. Not just some place we visit but don't really hang around.

I've always wondered what the place looked like, and it sort of fits the bill for what I was expecting. I was not expecting it to look so...fantastical however. I can't wait.

I hope we will be able to use mounts there like in mor dhona, idyllshire and rhalgar's reach.
