Please remove hunt rewards from Cross-Datacenter visitors

I love the new announcement of cross-datacenter travel, i am looking forward to visit my friends in other datacenters.

There is, however, one big problem: hunts. Be it A-rank hunt trains or S-rank hunts there will be a huge problem with a lot of people wanting to do them across datacenters.

So please disable any rewards from defeating hunt marks for cross-datacenter wanderers.

It's bad enough already within the same datacenter with too many people, with more people being able to participate it'll be a huge mess and will have zones congested and will make hunting completely unviable on PS4 or old PCs and Macs.

So no, i am totally against hunt rewards from people outside the current datacenter.

Yo some hunt trains are already borderline unviable on the PS4. We can address the problem by doing what we're already doing: if the train is too big the conductors can call out the next zone and give everyone a minute to teleport in before calling out the mark.
    Is it perfect? No.
But I don't believe a better solution would be to limit participation.

It sounds like cross-data center won't be as much of a problem for hunts as cross world was. The way it will work, as I understood it, was that you'd have to log out of the game, and log back in on the new data center in order to visit worlds there, making hunt trains cross data centers less viable.

That said, I really do hate what cross world hunts did the the hunt scene on my own server. I used to participate all the time in Stormblood and was a part of very active linkshells announcing hunts. Now they're dead before people on the server can even load in, and sometimes even if I do find an active hunt, the hunt target doesn't even load in to try to hit it before it's dead. I know several people enjoy taking part in the discord or whatever channels organize cross world hunt trains, but for me, it's a change that's been for the worse.

Trains could still be viable content depending on how long it takes for players to log out, wait for their data to transfer to the other data center and log in. Someone might miss the first one or two marks but make it for the rest (assuming the instance for the train isn't already at capacity).

S ranks won't be. A lot of players already to struggle to make it in time. Even an extra minute needed for data center visit would see the mark dead before they arrive.

I know some players hate what world visit has done to the world hunt communities but it has been a benefit to most players outside peak traffic hours. Someone who can't be online for their world's train can make it to another world's train.

What has caused the problem is a lack of cap on hunt rewards (other than the normal top tier tomestone cap) and the achievements for the new mount. Players are now able to get 6-11 times the daily rewards and credit they were getting prior to world visit, making hunts ridiculously lucrative for the time spent compared to other content. Even players that don't especially care for the hunt as content chain spam trains because the rewards are too good to pass up.

I wouldn't favor restricting hunts to same world only. The flexibility of being able to go to another world's train that coincides with when the player is online benefits the community too much.

I would favor putting caps on the daily and/or weekly rewards a player can get for doing hunts, including achievement credit. It might be time for SE to add daily bills for Rank As and weekly bills for S ranks just as we have them for the non-elite and Rank B marks. No bill in your inventory? No reward. Already killed it for the day or week? No reward.

This is an intriguing suggestion for dealing with hunt issues. I could see capping rewards thinning the hunt down a lot. Though I could also see people killing hunts because they're there, no reason needed. It's frustrating to pursue a hunt bill for a FATE mob and not be able to catch said FATE (especially in S Thanalaan when people actually decide to spawn Nunywuni). I can't imagine the frustration of getting the Pale Rider for a hunt bill -- or one of the non-player spawned S ranks--and its window never coming up while you have their hunt bill.

I personally would like to see hunts synced so that they remain essentially at X.0 patch difficulty. This would make 50-70 A & S ranks viable for players at all levels 50+, but also slow their deaths so that players have more chance at them. Plus, it's more thrilling to take them down when you're fighting for your lives in a group.

I think that's been the shock, so to speak, when it comes to our server. I don't recall ever seeing hunt trains being a thing on our server. It was more organic. Someone would spot a hunt, call it out across multiple link shells, set up PF groups to kill it, and wait for people to arrive and kill it. So to that end, there really was a massive shift in the hunt culture on our server that pushed a lot of players out of hunts. Everyone in my FC that used to be very actively involved in calling out and attending hunts now does not because of the cross world hunts.

I would also argue that at this point that it's just made those people continue to be left out since they now hunt out everything across all worlds. So those people who were left out before are still left out while those who could attend get even more rewards than before. So fewer players are now getting more rewards while other players are getting nothing. This is why so many are still calling for wanderers being prohibited from participating in hunts.

Cap the rewards and there's no reason to keep going to trains once you've reached that cap. Players would switch to doing other content where they will get rewards. That would open the door for some of those who might currently feel excluded to join the trains yet to run that day.

Peak hours will always be a problem for hunts. We had congested trains before world visit was added and they would continue to happen if world visit wasn't involved.

It's inevitable that there will always end up some feeling left out in what's essentially time sensitive content. Either you're on at the right time and manage to join in, or you're not and miss out. But at least with world visit available there are more options so those who want to be included are more likely to be on at the right time.

Capping the daily rewards so there's no reason to be adding to content congestion once you've got the reward for the day will only improve the situation further.

If they just remove the rewards, it'll go from people doing it for rewards to people doing it to troll. Short of making hunts just invulnerable to wanderers, there's no great solution.
