Instead of cutting Ultimate from 5.5 why not cut bozja?

why are you complaining..... this game is a casual game with Small amounts of hardcore content. please by all means go develop your own game with ultimate content make the game have a monthly sub and only have the top 1% of all MMORPG communities join. now run that for 10 years and cater to them only. let me know how that business model runs.

Worked great for WoW and WoW has a MUCH bigger player base. You can't even compare ffxiv to WoW at this point.

Go look at twitch and compare the number.

Even with all the ffxiv streams put together, it wouldn't even come close to 1/10th of what asmongold gets. That's how much of a joke this game is compared to WoW.

Considering only a fraction of the player base even does savage, and an even smaller fraction of that fraction bothers with Ultimate I definitely don't think that "hundreds" of raid groups disbanding is accurate.

On average 25-30% of the player base on JP servers complete savage, that's hundreds of groups. Whereas your server, Diablos can't even muster out of the few %.

Lodestone scrapes of who owns the E4S and E8S mounts. Meaning who are usually eligible for ultimate.

So.... play WoW? I'd never heard of Asmongold until people on XIV forums and reddit started comparing him to XIV streamers.

Most people wouldn't watch XIV streams anyway. The only time ultimate's pull views is when they are world first races. No one really watches otherwise.

I certainly never watch anyone stream this game. I'm too busy, you know, playing it.

That, and just because they do ultimate, doesn't mean the static disband when one gets delayed.

I'm in that statistic as one who has savage mounts. I also did Weapons Refrain prog for a few months. Never cleared, but enjoyed the experience.

My static didn't break and won't break over this.

Those of you trivializing the disappointment of the community looking forward to the ultimate content that was delayed by a year, please consider the exact same thing can — and arguably should — happen to you as well in time.

Just because “you’ve got yours” doesn’t excuse Square from the situation of a promise made, a promise broken. Just because (as some falsely claim) a superminority of the community participate in Ultimate doesn’t diminish the disappointment that community is experiencing right now.

Furthermore, the ultimate events and streams are a huge draw to the game and an excellent component to raising awareness for this game. Even if you never step foot into ultimate and never watch streams, you benefit from the new players that join and begin paying a subscription because of Ultimate’s push.

I want as many people as possible to play this game, and the grand spectacle of Ultimate is a component to drawing people in. I’m disappointed we basically have nothing for that subset of players to look forward to until a year from now, and I’m especially disappointed at the childishly toxic hypercasuals that can’t stand to see people better than them at the game getting rewarded for their investment.

Personally, I haven't even once tried to trivialize it. Heck, if I was an Ultimate raider I'd probably be disappointed too. No one wants their content delayed, cut, etc. What I did try to get across, however, was the why which isn't hard to understand when looked at objectively. Not saying it was right or even fair, but it was understandable given various circumstances.

Oh, I don't actually do Ultimate, nor do I do savage, but this savage most definitely has no place in Bozja. Supposedly the Ultimate was actually about, 70% done (?), if I remember correctly. Whether the resources wasted on this dead content could have prevented ultimate from being delayed as far as it has been, is of no issue to me. I'm more concerned with, what I think, are continuous poor design decisions in regards to Bozja, Not just the content itself, but the entire reward structure, punishments, etc. Don't even get me started on the relics.

Then, replace the content with what? Since the Ultimate delay is of no issue to you, it just sounds like you want a piece of content cut out just because you don't like it. Other points, from reward structure, means of entry, the auxiliary systems that play a role in the piece of content, the requirement of 48 without scaling etc... are all fair criticisms of the content, but I'd much prefer to see them take the criticisms and make something better down the line than just stop making it altogether. It's probably one of the more creative raid sets in the game, and feels like an actual raid atmospherically, and the gameplay systems are fun to play around with and make use of.

Though, I like having battle content in the game that isn't necessarily just the traditional Ex/Savage/Ulti fights and I'd like to see them improve and continue to refine the large-scale raid content that's traditionally been attached to the Exploratory stuff.

But if you don't care about Ultimate, don't run Savage, don't do exploratory content then... I don't really understand your dog in the discussion? Since normal dungeons ain't gonna change anytime soon.
