This is misleading. I got the same email but in ENG, and even voted for it. This is the bit that Heilstos left out:


Sage wasn't even a part of the poll because it wasn't relevant. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the reason why Sage didn't get more than a passing mention was because they didn't want to have it be compared to Reaper in terms of hype and hopes.

At first we were surprised and disheartened Sage wasn't mentioned, but Dearche provided us context as to why it wasn't there:

In this poll they were specifically asking which reveal from Fanfest we enjoyed most. As Sage wasn't revealed at Fanfest, it wasn't on the list.

Of course if you want to be really petty you can go on that there wasn’t a poll that was on the February announcement after endwalker was initially revealed and there was enough info for one of polls.

Of course, that doesn’t let them off the hook for their myriad of bad healer decisions throughout the years so just better to be pragmatic about it.

QA occurred, there was one question about *A* healer (if SCH would get a presence of mind or lightspeed equivalent skill), which was answered with "wait for the class/combat changes LL (which is the next one, sometime in august)" which is honestly to be expected.

sadly nothing on the whole malaise over healers as a role, but i mean hey--1/24 (closer to 1/18 due to some non-game-related questions) is literally better than nothing i suppose, and no healers got an incoming lobotomy announcement (outside of the possibly-ominous "have some classes been drastically altered" question which was also pushed to next LL) this time, so i guess we get to wait a monthish.

You know, I'm not really that worried about whether healers will have any mention in the upcoming changes. With Sage being released and SE doubling down on separating healers into pure/regen vs. shield healers, there's definitely going to be a change to their actions and skills as a whole.

What I'm really worried about is whether AST's cards are going to survive or be removed entirely in favor for something else. The system is not broken, but some people don't like it because it's not fun, but others hate the old system due to the amount of RNG making it unreliable for difficult fights when everyone plans the fight encounter to the second; currently, it is very consistent and reliable, but I wonder how big of a change they're going to make the cards based on the feedback they got so far.
