I dunno. Finally admit we're a joke of a role and remove the holy trinity into a duality by making us into dps equivilents?

I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

I'd love to be recategorized as "Support" and remove the healer tag. Might jolt the Devs into a different mindset.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Oh yes. We're now classified as support. Heal support.
Meaning they can remove all our other utility and leave us with just healing skills because it wouldn't be fair to the other support if we had healing and support.

I'm not expecting a healing model overhaul going into an Ultimate in an active expansion. I would like some changes but I am happy to be realistic and wait things out.
However, if we hit 7.0 and nothing changes in a fair few regards, I feel like my interest in the game will probably significantly decline. I don't want this to be the future, especially when most of us don't even have big or specific demands we just want our role to be a little more interactive and fun.

LL's have been a disappointment for healers for years, so I don't expect anything anymore, but somehow they manage to disappoint all the same. There's something disheartening about hearing the lead developer confirm that they hear us, don't care, and it's always going to be this way. It kills that last spark of hope.

Here are my predictions:
SGE - Single target direct heals get a big boost and some DPS improvements that make Kardia stronger.
SCH - Most of their shields get a potency increase, fairy healing increased and some increases in their DPS.
AST - Cards made stronger, more potent and Neutral sect gets some potency increases.
WHM - Some healing mana cost reductions but all other changes need more investigation.
As a career WHM, this is what I am bracing for and yes, WHM was mentioned in a LL so that is why I mentioned that they will get something.

Imo I think casual content needs to become a bit harder, more healing should be required it's just absurd to have tanks quite literally solo:ing bosses.
Isn't the problem that in most content healing devolves into dps filler spam?
Higher healing would only make this worse.
Scaling casual and older content better would go a long way I think to make healers more engaging to play.
