The tank role quests do seem to back it up, with what happens with the court mage in that and his victims.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
I'm curious as to what the relation between Mhach and Fandaniel/the Telophoroi is, since the trailer seemed to remove any doubt that he was taking from their designs with the "renovating" he did to the royal palace.
Looking back on the Void Ark, there is something of a "death" aesthetic they have going on there with coffins they used to imprison the voidsent as power sources.
I'm also curious about that dungeon design that blends the Mhachi-style archtecture with unsettling flesh-like material. We've previously seen similar back at the Neurolink in the Aetherochemical Research Facility where it looked as though the Allagans were using a bio-mechanical system to regulate the facility somehow. Perhaps it's the central control system for the towers planted around Aldenard...?

It is the FF14 1.0 art but most noticeable the box art. While trailer had him as a Archer, the arts for 1.0 had him as a Gladiator.I don't recall WoL being a Gladiator at the start of 1.0, although that was a long time ago so correct me if I'm wrong. He was an Archer in the trailer/opening for 1.0. That's why he started as an Archer in the Shadowbringers trailer. His job changes cycled through the original, ARR and the expansions.

Back on the topic....
Considering we are probably getting some FF2 Pandaemonium lore going for the finale of Season 1 storyline. I suspect we will also get the answer to what the Sound is.
the Place that Zeno and Fandaniel have a very Pandaemonium design to it. I won't be surprised if they reveal the source of the Sound maybe Satan/the Emperor of Hell.
The Lahabrea Raid may follow up as a post story to cover what became of Pandaemonium after 6.0 with Lahabrea becoming the Emperor of Arubboth

The Warrior of Light's appearance usually changes in such a way as to show him with a new hairstyle which is in turn added to the game. He doesn't look terribly different in the cinematic, other than his armour - which makes me suspect he'll change to a different job and hairstyle when the full cinematic is released.
Overall, my opinions are mixed - it's really just looking to be more of the same in different locations. So far, nothing is really unexpected to me.
I guess we'll have to wait until May to see if they plan to add the missing genders for Viera and Hrothgar as well as touch up the character customisation options for the older playable races.

This was in response to someone saying that the WoL being a Paladin was essentially "full circle" since he started as a Gladiator. I don't think box art with a partial view of a blade and armor is enough to really consider this to be the case. He was never a Gladiator in game. We also have box art of Black Mage. You can see what the path of jobs that the WoL has taken in the Shadowbringers trailer. Archer > Warrior > Dragoon > Monk > Dark Knight.
I'm just saying I don't think the WoL being a Paladin in the trailer has anything to do with being a Gladiator in 1.0.
The boy liked his Mhachi robes - tbf the Diabolic healer set is one of the best. I'm wondering if he has just been observing/taking notes, or whether he's had a more active hand in things. Emet brought an Allagan flair to the Garleans, so perhaps he's bringing a project of his own to it.I'm curious as to what the relation between Mhach and Fandaniel/the Telophoroi is, since the trailer seemed to remove any doubt that he was taking from their designs with the "renovating" he did to the royal palace.

I'm expecting another job swap, although some people think it'll just be DRK Zenos for thematic reasons... I hope it's a bit more interesting than that. I'm guessing they'll just mirror whatever job he does, as they did with SAM, albeit in 5.0's trailer, where it was Zenodibus. The Warrior of Light's appearance usually changes in such a way as to show him with a new hairstyle which is in turn added to the game. Perhaps. There's many things people are reading into his shirt which leads some to think it'll be Necromancer-inspired. I suspect they'll lean more strongly towards the Templar style due to demand for Mystic Knight, and perhaps do Necromancer later when they're at a bit more liberty to be flexible with the lore for new jobs and have ideas on how to do it in a way that isn't seen as stereotypically "evil".Maybe a mix o that with this.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
The 1.0 CGI Trailer did show WoL is a Gladiator in the start of his journey at the end. When WoL grabbed his bags and left with his 2 companions, we can see his Gladiator sword used in the box art which suggest WoL switched from Gladiator class to Archer class sometime after that scene. A little detail I think a lot of people missed due to how the Archer class became the iconic class for WoL image in 1.0 due to the combat sequence. This was in response to someone saying that the WoL being a Paladin was essentially "full circle" since he started as a Gladiator. However, considering it was a Echo vision event, WoL most likely was only a Archer class during that scene due to how the person he is seeing the Echo vision from was a Archer him or herself.
The Archer job was probably chosen due to how the 1.0 CGI trailer made WoL being a Archer in the beginning iconic since that was his chosen combat style during the combat sequence of 1.0 CGI trailer.

I don't think so. That shot of him as paladin is pretty similar to the dark knight shot at the end of the Shadowbringers trailer, which IIRC stayed pretty constant through the additional reveals. If they're taking the same approach to editing it'll be the middle of the trailer that gets new scenes in it, not the end.The Warrior of Light's appearance usually changes in such a way as to show him with a new hairstyle which is in turn added to the game. Plus the armoury system doesn't let you switch hairstyle.
So while they didn't say much about the new 24-man, they did say it's an FF14-specific story that ties into one of the big unresolved pieces of Eorzean lore.
That has to be Silvertear, right?

So on other revealed information.
How scary you think they may make Anima boss fight?
There are also other things such as arts for....
6.0 Job armor (Dark knight, White Mage, Samurai, and Black Mage)
Radz-at-Han as our new Hub city.
Garlemald and what looks like what remains of the Garlean Empire Capital City....
