There is a major difference between "Content you do not think you can do", and "content you have no interest in doing" / "content you absolutely refuse to do".

There is nothing in the game - not even Ultimates - that I think I am flat-out incapable of doing. Given enough time, at least, at I don't have the time.
I have no interest in completing Savage or even Extreme Trials without a static though; and given the state of my RL health, cannot promise anyone I'll ever be on at any set time. So I just don't.

And then there's stuff like Mahjong, Lords of Verminion, the Ishgard Restoration (since I'm already 80 with pentamelded crafted stuff), etc - that under no circumstances would I be interested in doing; but whatever.

Then there's Eureka and its progeny. At this point, I absolutely, categorically refuse, on principle. Its very presence angers me, as it has obviously sucked up massive amounts of Dev time, as well as taken actually-fun-relic grinds away from us.
The only appropriate response is to outright refuse to do them and complain regularly where SE has a chance of hearing it - so that in the future either this stuff won't exist, or we'll at least get the ARR/HW relic style quests back. (For real this time.)
Posts like this made me (VERY) briefly consider violating my conscience and making one relic anyway [I had all 17 at i500].
Until I saw that the last step involved doing Palace of the Dead (the only content that inspires even a fraction of the amount of hatred Bozja does in me - my PotD weapon is still like level 7) or more Bozja (NEVER!!).

TL;DR: Everyone, believe in yourself. But if you want to be the change you want to see in the world, Boycott Bozja entirely.

It's funny you say you almost did the relic until you saw that the last step was PoTD, cos that's the part in my relic weapon that I'm looking the most forward to! I love PoTD and HoH and have run both many times~ But that's of course cos we have different likes/dislikes when it comes to content.

Some people enjoy Bozja but are worried about the difficulty and get frustrated sometimes. Some people don't like it and don't touch it. If you want to refuse outright to do it and complain to SE, then do so! But whether you like or dislike Bozja, that's not what the original post is about. They're saying "if you want to do Bozja, believe in yourself and don't get yourself down". You bringing up stuff about "but I don't WANT to do it and it makes me angry" is... not productive to this conversation, imo. I mean, obviously if you don't what to do content cos it's not something you like, then you don't have to do it and that's fine! But no need to bring irrelevant negativity into this thread.

That's very true.
And this is a thread about encouraging those in the first camp.
Not about discussing all of the issues of the second camp.

If you want to enjoy those conversations, be my guest... but I question if this is the most productive place to have them when there are plenty of other threads about dissecting Bozja and how we feel about it.

Definitely. My best friend is, I am quite convinced, more than capable of doing on-level extremes or savage if she put her mind to it.

But she hates the content.

Not because of the difficulty level, but because people calling out mechanics in voice chat and everyone dying repeatedly while they gel as a group and get mechanics down, and where slipping up can lead to the death of the entire party... that's not what she wants from FFXIV. She wants a game where she can relax, do random stuff with friends, and periodically get a new chunk of story to enjoy; if she wants to really challenge herself, she has other games and other ways to do that. And that's okay. This game is diverse enough in the activities it has available that there's space for a wide variety of different player goals.

Hence why I qualified the first post with "if you want to do this content"; not everyone will want to do it in the first place.

However, I know a lot of people who do want to do it, but think it's beyond their skill level/too difficult. And that, I disagree with.

And your thread is wonderful for that!

Sorry if it felt like I was trying to drag your thread down. I just see some people hitch the ride on support to suggest that someone doesn't do something because of things unrelated to just not understanding they can and just don't want to lol (some people truly want content that is "THAT" easy, or "THAT" hard, or whatever), and I thought it was novel that you made a line about that (wanting). Making a distinction between different types of lack of engagement is important, sometimes it seems like an easy to make accident, or occasionally far more purposeful, willful manipulation of that for whatever point someone is trying to make. Again was just neat to me you bothered with that.

Did it the other day. Yes, it requires paying some attention, especially as you move through each boss and reach the Queen, but it's not bad at all - especially for purely optional content. Whatever problems Bozja has, the difficulty of the raid is not one. The music on the final fight is really the best part (along with the Queen's design), and they employed some pretty cool mechanics in the boss fights... quite literally on the fire/ice boss.

It's also important to realize when doing content like this: More than likely, everyone else is as scared to look like a fool as you. The chances of every person who isn't you entering any instance being an expert pro is astronomically low. Be kind to yourself. We all learn together, and only together can we overcome!

I don't think the issue is that people think they can't do it. It's not so difficult people will struggle to get clears IIIFFF there are enough people running the content for groups to form.

The PROBLEM is that it's difficult enough for repeated runs with random groups to not be worth the annoyance. So, the content will die fast and anyone who still needs their clear by week 3 will be SoL. Punishing group content has a very short lifespan; tying the relic to something like this was a dick move that alienates people who don't run this stuff immediately after it releases.

Sure I'm not a fan of how SE treats Bozja so far. But I'm in no doubt that I really like the content despite its poor execution, especially CLL and Delubrum.
At this point I'll be more than willing to keep running CLL whenever possible. I knew some friends that shares the same sentiment toward this content and perspective to how the other sees it. If you reading this and needing a clear, please don't give up We might even run to one another if you're in Aether!
