Is it even possible to do Operation Archon?

Oh, nah, I took "third phase" to mean after the adds. The bound finale doesn't seem like something that should be posing a problem for getting casts off unless the attacks are interrupting, which... maybe, but, you'd think devs would know to account for that...

Yeah, i pulled up the NG+ menu just to see how far it would be. It looked like you had to run the quests all the way from basically just after beating titan to get to this instance, so i didnt do that. Im happy to offer advice and perspective(or even a piece of gear here or there), but i dont have THAT much free time in game.

I started this last night and winded up dying to the (second/third) (after his guards came back-those were easy enough to kill), but the circles were growing, and no matter how much I moved to get away, I died. I watched a video, and now I am concerned about the last phase since I was doing it on a summoner, and not sure she can handle those. I have the gear you get once you finish the summoner mission (up to level 50), but it is not working great even with that. The first one I have had a fundamental problem with. Is a summoner the ideal one to do it with? I do have a red mage (lv 52), samurai (lv 50-51), and the scholar (same level as my summoner-55).

The duty has changed since this thread was created. It used to be an 8m trial. I haven’t done it since it was redesigned into a solo mission but if the video alone isn’t enough to help you clear it, you could have a look at the walkthrough part here describes the fight step by step. See if you can find what you may be missing:

From what I see in the fight description, you may be moving late and getting snapshotted when trying to get away from the flames even if you appear to get out of them in time on your screen.

But clearing it on Summoner shouldn’t be an issue. Every single battle job can clear this as well as any MSQ mission in the game.
