No mate. I started 3 weeks ago, did rank 1 to 10 in 7 hours spamming all skirmish and critical, Castrum Litore after 2 days. So yes, we all had 3 months and took, if you don't have fortune, 1 month.Way to completely miss the point. Ranking up mettle is tedious but it's doable and not the real problem, the way Castrum Lacus Litore works is the problem. The way the encounter is designed makes it rare that it gets successfully cleared, or even ends up started when it comes up, because of the lack of people queuing. We arguably didn't have three months, we had two maybe three weeks after release to have a reasonable chance to get it done while everyone else was trying to do it, because the majority of people stopped wanting to do it at all. There's a bunch of people trying to do it now, but it's still apparently not enough to get enough people queuing for it, let alone enough to clear it.
I'm done my mettle grind, all there is left to do for me right now is sitting around inside Bozjan front waiting for Castrum to come up and very likely inevitably either not have enough people for it to start or for it to fail. There's always either still not enough people in the encounter or enough who know the encounter well enough to get it cleared, because most people who have done it don't want to go near it anymore. I wasted over two hours yesterday sitting around waiting in Bozjan front only to add two more failed Castrums to my count. How is this at all good design? At least let people queue for it from outside Bozjan front so they play the game between attempts.

The problem has nothing to do with getting to rank 10, it's that's some people have very little chance to do Castrum. It's become a roadblock for quite a few people. Not really fair to those who weren't able to do it week 1 or any future players who want to try it out.

I hate how the fates scale in there but character power is fixed. Sometimes mobs got millions of HP even though very few people are around making it impossible to kill them or it takes for ever. The best time to play in there is at 4 am when its almost empty and you can finish the fates in two minutes because everything dies as normal. Whwn ita prime time sometimes it takes 10 or 15 minutes because all the emies got so much life and just wont die. But then you cant do the critical boss fights...
There's probably a more elegant solution to scaling. Could try recruiting through PF for anyone else that needs to catch up though american datacenters have something of an aversion to using it for bozja it seems like.I hate how the fates scale in there but character power is fixed. this even get's better when you have around 50 ppl in the instance. 30 of them try castrum, while the other are split over the 3 areas and have to make up for the 30 bussy ones.I hate how the fates scale in there but character power is fixed. Dude, Castrum was dead 2 weeks after it was released.
They even made it so you get coins (previously CLL only) from Fates if you did the story. So no one ran CLL after that because fates gave better "coin per hour".
CLL: No XP gain, no mettle gain, orch rolls were vendor priced for month+, no "unique loot" that you couldnt buy from market board. So simply, no reason to run it.
If you want to run it now, you almost have to either get super lucky on prime-time playtime or join 3rd party app (discord in this case), find out likeminded people, organize or wait for run, get somehow into same instance with them and queue into CLL.
Nice.
people keep saying this, but my fiance and I started Bozja this Tuesday when we found out that you get the cerberus mount from DR savage, got to 10 Wednesday and started Castrum yesterday.Dude, Castrum was dead 2 weeks after it was released.

first run failed because someone discouraged others from joining because they insisted there wouldn't be enough people. second failed because top group for the first boss didn't know how to hit buttons. third run was the clear. it took us maybe two hours of trying to clear castrum, part of which was waiting for castrum to spawn.
once inside it was very fun. I do think it's an issue when people are not dpsing and not using lost actions/ essences though.

You could probably beat Castrum right now since everyone has come back to it.
"Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. They stood back to back as the galaxy burned - always brothers, never friends; traitors together unto the last."
--an excerpt from a Night Lords Novel, "Void Stalkers" Chapter X: Revenge.

People are still having issues. Last night a fc friend went into Bozja while we were waiting for others to get on for DR, and they wanted to do a Castrum run that popped (they already beat it week 2 or 3). Enough people to pass but too many newbies and not enough willing to help and the run died after a failed first boss attempt. And I hear this from so many other people as well.

So you're saying no content must ever exceed X amount of minutes because you don't have enough time? And that everyone who has that kind of time is a no-lifer?All they would have to do is make a que that didn't take a random 60 to 90 minutes to pop outside of the zone. Like they did with the next step. And possibly, eventually, get rid of the mettle loss on death if it comes to that. But to ask someone to wait that long just for a chance to fail, not everyone has that kind of time. Some of us have actual lives outside of an mmo.
