    War vs. Drk

I want easy mode and to be OP. I don’t want to heal, I want to be a main tank. Which fits me more?

DRK and WAR are both pretty challenging to play (correctly) in dungeons. Their AoE rotations are busy, and they have 90 second cooldowns that can be difficult to map out. DRK is smoother to me, and I love it.

PLD has a lot less going on in that department. Requiescat is on a 60 second cooldown and is much easier to manage. There are fewer buttons to press in AoE situations. In general, those buttons are just organized better.

PLD is better than either of them. Clemency is broken, and with it, you can solo bosses from 80%. Which is useful if you want to spite the party for dying at 80%.

DRK is easiest in raids for me, but only by a small margin (they're all easy) and for all the right reasons. The opener is busy and takes practice, but after that, I don't have to think too much about what I'm doing. I can focus on mechanics.

WAR has this hypnotic effect on me. I autopiloted so hard once that I killed the MT in Emerald by not stacking.

DRK is my favorite right now because somehow I find it the least monotonous (by this, I actually mean I'm finding it insanely fun). I don't have to devote any additional attention to tedious rotational busywork, and I appreciate that.

Drk because you don't have healing tools like war, tbn is strong, mp management is not very hard imo (just don't cap or spend too much if you want to use tbn).
All tanks can MT in normal content, but in harder content war might take the priority because of his invuln.

I've played both and I'd say WAR is more difficult to play in general. The Cone AoE is more difficult to use; the damage buff is more difficult to keep up; for your active mitigation you have to decide between direct mitigation or self healing based on the situation; etc. DPS wise they're pretty similar, but Inner Release is less forgiving than Delirium if not timed correctly.

I like WAR better than DRK, though. DRK is easy but has no self healing, so it's sustain is crap. A WAR that's played correctly doesn't rely on competent healers nearly as much as a DRK does, so a WAR can make a bad group work.

Am I actually seeing WAR and "difficult" or "challenging" in the same sentence here... ?

Unless you have at least 1 or 2 99% on e1s -> e12s you on fflogs have no right to talk ! I mean, if not war is so easy you can't play it correctly haha
