They said already that they try to break the walls between the server.
World visit works already good so the next step would be to bring the DCs closer together.
I expect a announcement about that on Friday.

But tbh, I don't see a difference in the amount of PF groups compared to the pre split times.

Maybe we just played at different times but I've seen a significant decline in pf groups that aren't weekly savage farm since the DC got split. It's hard to judge anything else since you never saw many people run around in the overworld even in Stormblood.

I think it's kinda samey, I'm on Chaos and queue times are the same as before, so I can't say for Light, really.
PF might have less but I have a feeling it's also a bit because Savage / Ext have "never" been this accessible/easy, and it's cleared and farmed really fast, making the lulls between content patches even longer?

However, patch days are so much smoother since the split though. I haven't had DC or extreme lag like I remember having on 4.2 / 4.4.
I'd be very happy for a cross DC Party/duty finder though.

Being able to play with people from other Data Centers would be a dream come true. There'd be no more barriers left.

As someone who has to level characters in different DCs to play with different people, it certainly would solve many of my problems ;

I’m on chaos and I really don’t find it too bad, I tend to wait about 5-10 mins for most things. Not saying there isn’t a problem with more obscure things or if you don’t select all languages but I don’t think it’s terrible.

I do notice some of the story trials to end expansions were a bit slow though - final steps of faith and royal menagerie etc.

No offence but you are probably not doing ex trial farm party or even savage because i'm telling you this is not good at all . In stormblood you didn't wait that long in pf like that , now we are waiting hours and hours just to fill up a pf . In fact i don't even see many ex trial farm party anymore this is the sad part . If they don't fusion the 2 data center make it atleast that we can play with the light data center because this nightmare in pf need to end.
