My favorite frontline experiences are the ones where we have one player constantly yelling and demanding people do whatever they want (usually something like "focus red!") and at the end of the game you look at their score and they have 0 captures, 0 damage done to the ice, and didn't even perform above average in terms of kills or deaths.

You just showing us a mindset that NA community trapped in when it comes to Frontline.
A good commander does not necessarily be a good PvPer.
A good commander is someone who gives out a clear instruction, have basic military logic (when to attack, when to retrieve, and where is the exit route).
In modern military, when do you ever see a commander actually leading charge in battle?

They aren't being a good commander, that's the problem. A match with actual callouts, tactic and instruction (and those being followed) is amazing. But the alternative, where the only thing someone has to offer is the demand that every player tunnel vision dogpile on one team while ignoring every other aspect of the match, especially the third team as they take advantage of this obvious turn of events to snatch up all of the objectives this team is now ignoring as well as sweeping up any stragglers from fights to propel them into first place, is what I've found leads to far more losses than wins.

Frontline on NA data centers is a joke anymore. Almost every game I've been in in the past month is just people doing exactly what was said: dog piling one team. You try to do callouts, no one listens. Hell, half the time no one even communicates at all. It's just, ooga booga, kill this guy. We need high K/D ratio! I've had a few people lead (well try, myself included). And no results. It is literally the definition of insanity anymore. Doing the exact same thing with no different outcome on results.

Expecially right now a lot of people jumped on pvp just for the good exp. you can literally see people on autorun, someone just standing and autoattacking and others you can tell don't even know what they are doing (not using pots.. etc..).
I personally just play not counting on anyone and trying to have fun killing while trying to stay alive..

If everyone is relying on one person to lead the entire team then it's a team problem, not just a leader problem. It's easy for that one person to miss something vital while in the midst of fighting. If you know what needs to get done it needs to be pointed out in chat, or just do it yourself.

Are you expecting to win just because you have someone willing to lead?
Are you not expecting other 2 teams also have commanders to anticipate your team?
We are not playing against AI.
This is also not a mode where everyone is on the com and keep feedback of what happen.
Even for me, I can only pay attention to the dots moving pattern and assume next step.
    Give these people a chance.
Go ahead and point out what they didn't see and give them a chance to grow

An actual lead doesn't make a world of difference in this mode. It's valuable of course, for those that were already pretty engaged in the frontline. But most are not even reading the chat, and they might not even have read their spells, they're just following the bus/trying to have fun/do their daily fast.

On the other side, a few persons or even a singular one can actually pull and tank packs of 5 to 10+ players for a while, and it's usually enough for your team to progress despite the chaos. It requires very good knowledge of the maps, and it's possible precisely because people are bad at frontlines/pvp and are very predictable.

Also the real rng is the number of competent players you're matched with.
