    Datacenter... smoll question.

    I'm out of the loop but I am going to ask a stupid question. With technology today, is there plan to combine 3 datacenters in NA as one so friends can visit?

    I feel like 3 datacenter are physical limitation split... with the technology today - shouldn't they be able to extend this?

    They originally were combined, but SE split them up into seperate data centres to make them more manageable as they added more and more servers due to more and more new players joining, so I do not see them combining them back under just regions I'm afraid.

    SE has said they want to break down the barriers between data centers but it's a task they're not certain they'll be able to accomplish.

    I think for now they're prioritizing getting cross world play between worlds of the same data center fully functional. There are still some limitations that they've said they want to address plus a few not mentioned that players would like to see them address.
